With the race fast approaching, things are shaping up for a great weekend of racing. Fox Mountainis an excellent facility, the track is one of the smoothest tracks you will find anywhere! Chuck and Carolyn are also exceptional track owners and will make your trip a pleasant one.

We will be having a surprise announcer, one who is well schooled in running a well organized event, with many years of experience. He will keep things going at a fun relaxed pace, yet in a timely manner.

Like all ARCOR events, Pre-entires are encouraged. Like I have said before, it's painless, and if something unforseeable should come up, your entry will be
refunded. This has only happened a couple of times, but the pre-entries helped the track plan for awards.

Entry fee for the Fire Cracker, is one of the most reasonable you will find anywhere, $45 for the 1st class and $35 for additional classes. Pre-enter and save $10 on the 1st class and additional classes. We will be running 4 qualifiers on Saturday and triple A's on Sunday. That's a lot of racing for the $$$$

Bologna - Start with 4 pinks and tune from there. I run 3 Ls and a R right rear. Lites on the left and nets on the right. No foams.

Gallum - I can't remember the exit numbers. I'll get someone to post directions. It's just about 3 miles off I40 near Tryon, NC. It's the Columbus exit. Like I said I'll get someone whos better at direction to post.

Im bringing 2 people with me. 2 in spec and one in 21t. Looking to have some fast fun. Anyone know if there is a hobbyshop on site. Ive got lots of parts but Ill probably break the one thing I forgot. Also what traction compound is popular there.

gallum: Attached is a map to Fow Mountain. The first post here has the flyer for the race. Fox Mountain reguarly runs on Sundays. On June 17th (Saturday) they will host the second leg of the NC. State Champs. On there race weekends they usually run 6C Pro Spec and .09 Nitro, also occasionally 4C Spec trucks. I imagine as the race grows nearer the other classes will be ran for "practice".competition park: Yes they have a nice shop on site. Should be able to handle your parts. Stick-Et capped traction. :)

Fox Mountain Speedway, 3873 Fox Mountain Road, Mill Spring, NC 28756

I-26 exit Columubus/Tryon (exit 67) go 3 miles East on Hwy 108, Fox Mtn Rd on the left, track is on the right just around the curve after you turn on Fox Mtn Rd. Can't miss it. If you exit off I-26 onto Hwy 74 take 1st exit 163 (turn left) onto Hwy 108, go 3 miles. (Do not take Fox Mtn Rd that is right across from the exit, long way around).
If you're coming from Charlotte direction and taking Hwy 74, take Lake Lure/Mill Spring exit (sorry don't have # now), exiting on Hwy #9 go North approx 3-1/2 miles, turn left at cross roads, go 1/2 mile turn left on Fox Mtn Rd.

Sorry guys Fox Mtn Rd is on the right not left when you're coming from Columbus.
There's a pond and a textile plant on the left (Woodlane Mills)

Not sure where in TN you are but you would come I-26 to Columbus exit 67 then turn left on Hwy 108 the Days Inn is on the right and you go around the circle over the bridge (you're on 108) come about 3 to 4 miles, Fox Mtn Road is on your right, we are just a little ways off Hwy 108, on the right. Columbus exit is approx 45 miles from Asheville, NC.

NOTE: I have been harping about pre-entering for the last four years. I don't care what or whose race you are going to (any race, any organization). no stock noooooooo. never seen a national event without a stock class before. if there are enough pre entries before the 24th will there be any chance it can get added. was sending mine today since we were told the 24th was the last day for pre entries and that was when the classes were to be determined. also would you care to post the number of preentries per class. this would be very helpful

JB

competitionpark: As of today, no one has pre-entered Stock, or even mentioned it?? You get 5 guys and we'll run it. You can't expect Fox to buy awards and no one shows, I'm sure you understand. I don't have the pre-entry list, but I do know the above listed classes are a go.

chikinhead: ( Man, where did you get that naem..HAHA:confused: :jest: ) Fox is usually open Sundays for there racing, this leaves Saturday open for C&W, (this is rare, when two tracks so close can work together, guess that says a lot for the track owners!!!!)

I would highly suggest that you contact Chuck or Carolyn at cgreen01@alltel.net for their schedule this weekend.

Also I have got a few pre-entires for 4C Spec Truck..THANK YOU GUYS.. your thoughtful and #1 in my book!!!!
