Looking for advise on what type of traction compound to use on foams when racing outdoors on dirt. I just bought some BSR foams for my T3 oval truck, green rears, silver fronts. Its been a long time since i used foams for dirt oval, and i am not sure as to what has been working best. I have paragon ground effects, but am open to suggestions. Also, any ideas on grooving the tires? looking to run on tracks that are marginal at best for foams...i.e. loose dirt, but dry.

Thanks!

Are you cutting grooves in the tires if so only go 1/8in

Use a tire truer and a drumel tool

Groove the fronts around the circumference only, no cross cuts (front tires are not under power). Probably space grooves 1/4" apart. Rears, do the same around the circumferences, and do cross cuts avery 3/8" or so. Look at dirt tires on real cars for ideas. Fronts and rears, chamfer/radius the edges (inside & out). Start there. Gojo (no pumice) for cleaner. Use dremel cutting wheel, don't use X-acto, you want the grooves opened up 1/32 - 1/16" or so.
