Finally took the plundge and ordered the Boss Mustang. Got in in over the weekend, very nice job. I'll buy more, but hope they get beyond Mustangs, Camaros, GTO's, Corvettes and into the less mainstream cars.

I might be wrong on my opinion, but I don't think Greenlight will produce a less mainstrem car for awhile. They are a small company compared to JL-RC2 and they have to produce what sells.

I don't think Gremlins, Pacers, Vegas, Pintos, stationwagons and the like would be a good decision to produce at this time.

What are the less mainsteam cars that you were thinking of 70XR7?

I would like to see:
'65 Chevrolet Impala SS
'65 Oldsmobile 442 (maybe a '64 Oldsmobile 442)
'65 Buick Gran Sport
'68 Oldsmobile 442
'64 Dodge Coronet
But I think we may have to wait on these castings. What ever Greenlight decides to produce, I'm sure that I will find several or castings to my liking.

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GREENLIGHT!

Gremlins, Pacers, Vegas, Pintos, yep bad idea, with JL and fresh cherries out

sometimes it pays to be different, well I guess JL is doing the 64 dodge

almost any mopar is a safe bet

Don't get me wrong - I'm sure if I was the guy loaning Greenlight (Matt, I think) start up money, I'd want to see a business plan that included cars that are in high demand. I can't help but think there is a pretty good demand for cars besides "the usual suspects". Can you make money on Pintos and Pacers? Probably not enough to start a business.

Given that I only have one, my opinion is they are a half-step up over JL in quality. But, they are more expensive and hard to find. So my feeling is they might do cars that fill the gaps over at JL - more Buicks, Olds, Mercs, for example, or looking at the JL catalog and finding cars that are just not the best and doing a better version - JL's Cougar Eliminator jumps to mind.

Just an opinion, I hope the company does well. Release 2 looks like it has some interesting cars & I look forward to grabbing some of those.

Thanks for reading!
