SuperSport 05-06-2006, 06:30 PM The hardest part is always waiting for the colors I want.

Incredible. Look at the gimmicks/features, eyelids, shades, neg camber, PORSCHE ALLOYS!

Seems that the window mounted air blower and stinger exhaust will be HOBBY ONLY.
mopar_man 05-06-2006, 06:57 PM Negative camber on the rear wheels only?! I've never understood the draw to that. To me it looks like the car was lowered by some amateur shmuck who didn't know how to do it properly.
SuperSport 05-07-2006, 07:50 PM Thats the inherent problem with lowering a bug, the lower you go, the higher degree of negative camber. Rear engine.....
I guess one could bag it or build a custom notched chassis.
mopar_man 05-07-2006, 08:07 PM I'm not familiar with the VW chassis but I know I've seen way too many Hondas, new VWs, etc. lowered improperly with the inside edges of the tires worn out.
SuperSport 05-07-2006, 09:08 PM The funniest thing I've seen regarding imports, at least front wheel drive 1/4 mile racers, is the need for slicks on the front. Really messes up the dragster ideal.
BTW, did you know about the Toyota Hemis?

Hell, you can find some that run 11s and 10s on street tires.
SuperSport 05-07-2006, 09:59 PM They're light. Its because they're made out of old diapers and beer cans. :p
plankowner 05-08-2006, 06:23 AM Sweet Bugs! Those are nice!
maxxcoupe7 05-19-2006, 12:04 AM I like, I Like.... I'm a fan of the VWbug..
SuperSport 05-19-2006, 02:57 PM My only prob: I wish they were "ovals".

Going back to my V-Dub 1:1 days... on the old crash-box bug trannys (single jointed rear axle) the wheels would camber the other way...but on the later double jointed rear axles...the wheels would do that...looks terrible, but if I remember right, they had kits available to fix that... so I don't know why they would make this like a desirable feture
...even in the bug world, looks like someone stoopid did the lowering...
theArchitect 05-31-2006, 01:32 AM very cool bugs!
ill be waiting for the black classic.
