PNT Sheet for Polar Lights 1/350th refit decals.
This sheet is for the 1701 Not the 1701-A. Before you get excited there is a problem, just got them through today and there is a bad crease along the top which runs right through the USS Enterprise and the registry for the top and bottom of the saucer making them useless for my purposes.

Card backed envelope will be used to send them unlike the flimsy paper one they arrived in.

No money needed, can't be bothered with that right now.

would that hurt them in a standard application, or does it stretch/break the decal layer?

That's the problem, you can never be sure untill you apply them. I've had this problem before and on a normal aplication it can be worked around.

However with the backlighting system i will be using if there is any breakup, which seems most likely to happen then the finish will be below par and that is not acceptable, to me at least as any backlighting really shows up any problems with decals in a quite obvious fashion.

Bit of a nuisance but sometimes just how it is and right now i can't be fussed with getting a replacement set.

Raytheon, if they are still available I sure could use them. I will gladly reimburse you for the postage.

They indeedly still are available, just PM me a postal address and i'll get them away.
I wouldn't worry about the postage, it will end up just amounting to pocket change anyways so nay prob.

Just a question (since you have found a taker):

Are these very different from the ones that come with the kit? I assume they are more accurate?

Thanks!

Not that different but the quality appears to be spot on and there are more than a few wee extras on the sheet and it's only for the refit with no 1701-A markings.

The carrier film covers the entire sheet so they do need to be cut out individually but they do appear to be very thin, hence the possible magnification of potential problems with the creased parts of the sheet.

Ratheyon -

Thanks for the response.

They are worth purchasing then?

In all honesty i'd say yes, though emailing and asking if they can be mailed in a board backed envelope wouldn't go amiss i think.
