In my opinion it is - hands down. We just received the production-version samples of our new Indy Racer product. The piece is approx. 1:24 scale however it is made of polished stainless steel and is loaded with history. The story goes a little something like this...

Dating back to 1946 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, track owner Tony Hulman commissioned a polished stainless steel Indy race car collectible that was given by Mr. Hulman and general manager Wilbur Shaw as a gift to drivers, sponsors and special Speedway dignitaries. Hulman also had the Clabber Girl name applied to a limited number of the cars, a unique way to tie together Hulman & Company’s two most well-known business interests: racing and baking powder. The car body design was typical of cars from the late 30’s and into the post-war era, and has even been said to replicate the style of the Maserati that Shaw drove to victory in the 1939 and 1940 Indianapolis 500’s. This replica was manufactured for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and commemorates the original steel Indy Racer on the occasion of the 90th Running of The Greatest Spectacle in Racing.

The production run was 6,500pcs and only 1,500 will be available to the public through hobby retailers. There will also be a 250pc run in a special blue-chrome edition available so contact your local GreenLight distributor if you're interested.

This project is unlike anything else we've ever done and I'm thrilled with the way it turned out. I hope you all agree!

Thanks,

-Matt
