Actually yatming made a volare two door back in the 70's,luckily I was able to get one through a trade a while back, although it needs some work.

Somewhere, I have one of those, too. It is white with opening doors. I also have a metallic blue 75 Dodge Dart Sport made by Yatming, again, with opening doors.
ilikecolllectdi 02-04-2007, 05:41 PM a more close to the reality, seeing the last diecast cars of Fresh cherries could be done another one based in the existing Fresh cherries, like:
* 1975 Mercury Bobcat .- From the Ford Pinto
* 1974 AMC Hornet notchbacks or wagon .- from AMC Hornet fasthatch
* 1975 Pontiac Astre .- from Chevrolet Vega
* 1971 Mercury Comet .- from the Ford Maverick
and also for the next releases:
* 1976 Dodge Aspen wagon/Plymouth Volare wagon .- From the Chrysler LeBaron T&C
could be made several models from basing in some basics models, like here
96cutlass 02-05-2007, 06:50 PM 1978-1979 Olds Cutlass Salon 4-door
1976-1979 Cadillac Seville
1983 Pontiac 6000 LE sedan
1979 Chevy Malibu wagon
1990 Buick Century sedan

And the American Graffiti series could give us:
1972, 73 Impala- from the 71 Impala
1974-75 Caprice, 1974-76 Impala- from the 76 Caprice
1979 T-Bird, 1977-79 LTD II, 1977-79 Cougar XR7-from the 78 T-Bird
gbracer 02-07-2007, 07:54 PM Why is it that I cannot find anyone that makes an AMC Spirit????????????????
craftymore 02-07-2007, 08:18 PM Welcome to the board gbracer. As far as I know, no one does make a Spirit in 1/60 scale or any scale for that matter. I'd say that motormax would be the best bet though in being the first to produce the little AMC. What types and scales of diecast do you collect?
Zach
bluestinger 02-07-2007, 11:41 PM An AMC Spirit would be great since I owned one but the '70-'77 Hornet two-door would be even better since I currently own a '71 SC 360.
gbracer 02-09-2007, 09:39 PM 1979-83 AMC Spirit
1968-70 AMC AMX
1968-70 AMC Javelin
1971-74 AMC AMX
gbracer 02-09-2007, 09:49 PM I like the 1/64 scale the best. I think it is the perfect size for a collection.
bluestinger 02-11-2007, 07:22 PM gbracer,
You know Johnny Lightning has done the AMX, Javelin and Javelin AMX already. I don't think Fresh Cherries would do them. I'm still hoping for the Spirit and Hornet two-dr.
MoparNut360 02-11-2007, 09:26 PM They've probably been mentioned above,but here's a few I'd love to see in 1/64 scale:
-1973 Chevelle/Malibu (2 or 4dr)
-1978 Plymouth Volare
-1974 Dodge Dart 4dr
-1979 El Camino
-1978 Grand Prix
-1978 Malibu Wagon
-1979 Dodge Magnum XE
-1976 Dodge Charger
-1979 Ford Ranchero GT
-1975 Ford Granada
-1974 Monte Carlo
-1973 Cadillac Fleetwood
HOVEHICLE 03-06-2007, 12:12 AM I would love to see these vehicles in HO scale under the Fresh Cherries label:
1. 1986 Ford Taurus
2. 1985 Ford Explorer
3. 1985 Ford Mustang
4. 1980 Ford LTD (Crown Vic)
5. 1980 Ford Thunderbird
Vito L.

a 1985 Ford Explorer
and by the way, I prefer in 1/60- 1/64 scale. I still minded in the 70s and 80s cars (still no 80s cars in Fresh cherries 1/60, but soon we will know about the Plymouth Reliant)
Thanks a keep making recomendations, specially in 1/60 - 1/64 scale

Actually, there was a 1985 Explorer I think........it was an F150
HOVEHICLE 03-06-2007, 04:48 PM Sorry for the brain lapse guys...the Explorer was introduced in the spring of 1990 as a 91' model. I know that Motormax wants to stick to the 70's and 80's so I was pushing this SUV a little too much! How about a 1989 Ford Econoline cargo van instead? Of course, in HO scale.
Vito L.

Well, there was a Bronco II in the 80s, and that was kinda like 3/4 of an Explorer. ;)

Yes, and Matchbox and Majorette did them in diecast. I had a 1:1 for 6 years, an '88 XLT 4x4...decent little wagon--great in snow and off-road, traded it is '00 for a new Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4 (still my daily driver).
ilikecolllectdi 03-07-2007, 12:20 PM continuing with the wish list, i like to suggest a collection likely " 70s fancy" and that cars could be:
* 1975 Cadillac Seville
* 1975 Ford Granada
* 1975 Oldsmobile Omega
* 1978 Chrysler LeBaron sedan
* 1977 Lincoln Versailles
I hope soon your commenst about this
thanks
scrambler81 03-07-2007, 01:54 PM Wow, I would have never thought of the Versailles, but I'd like to see it. I'd rather the 1979, where they straightened up the rear window for a more formal roofline.

Nice list! I really, really want that Seville. The LeBaron should be relatively easy since they'll already have half the car tooled. The Omega's also a good one. If Motormax designs a modular tool for it, they could also give us the Nova, Ventura, and Skylark.
madmanmark 03-09-2007, 10:51 AM Okay, here's another five. These were selected because some of the tooling, like the chassis and glass can be shared among the different cars, just like their 1:1 counterparts:
1979 Cadillac Eldorado
1984 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz converible
1979 Buick Riviera
1980 Oldsmobile Toronado
1980 Cadillac Seville

1980 Cadillac Seville
The 1980 Cadillac Seville was enough done, by brands like Hot Wheels, Tomica, Welly, Yatming
a 1983 Buick Riviera convertible (similar to Cadillac El Dorado convertible) was done by Racing Champions several years ago.
and like a continuation of GM siblings models, I like to suggest
1978 Chevrolet Malibu
1978 Oldsmobile Cutlass notchback coupe
1978 Chevrolet Malibu wagon
1978 Pontiac LeMans wagon ( with woody trim)
1978 Pontiac Grand Prix
hoping your comments, stay tuned :)
madmanmark 03-09-2007, 01:57 PM You're thinking in terms of 1/64, exclusively. There are those among us who would like to see these cars realized in 1/24 (myself) and 1/87 (Vito and the railroaders, etc).
The Hot Wheels Seville was a toy, the Tomy, of which I have a pristine copy, has been out of production for decades, and the Welly and Yat Ming copies are impossible to find. I would love to walk into a store and see a Seville, in four different colors, no less, and be able to buy it for two bucks (or ten for a 1/24). What about the Eldorado, Toronado, and Riviera hardtop? Aren't those worth casting?

Of course is worth casting, but my likes is on 1/64, because latelly are so detailed and great job, specially of Fresh cherries, are more cheaper and require less space
madmanmark 03-09-2007, 03:24 PM Which begs the question: If you could walk into Wal-Mart, go to the diecast aisle, and see a peg with brand new, beautifully detailed, Sevilles, lets say, in black, blue, maroon, and white, all for two dollars a pop, would you buy them or would you say, "No thanks, I have the Hot Wheels"?
zed300 03-09-2007, 03:48 PM 1981 Chrysler Imperial
1979 Pontiac Grand Am
1983 Mercury Grand Marquis
1983 Mercury Colony Park
1984 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser
stanmmx 03-09-2007, 05:20 PM Dear All:
Regarding the Seville, one which is being begged to be done is the 4-door Notchback version (I know of only one special miniature and a replica made in 1/43 scale by an unknown Manufacturer) which was released in 1975 and it was one of the first 'shorter' Cadillacs in a good while. The Humpback one was the one made by Mattel and Tomica (and copied by several Hong Kong/Chinese Manufacturers). If Motormax decides to do any of the two, however,I grab them (albeit the Notchback Version will make me happier).
ilikecolllectdi 03-13-2007, 01:29 AM Another choices that I like to see in Fresh Cherries 1/60
1978 Dodge Omni/Plymouth Horizon (hatchbacks)
1978 Chevrolet Chevette 5 doors
1980 Toyota Corolla wagon
1980 Buick Skylark
1979 Datsun 210 wagon

Seriously, though, if they made it I would buy lots of them. If it came in 1/24, I'd take two 4-packs before you could blink. Any Olds is a welcome Olds.

Dear All:
Albeit it was not made in the 1970's,it could supplement the already existent model of the Escort 1981: Ford Escort Wagon.Also,4-door (rather, five) Chevettes and Escorts are welcome, too.Add a Plymouth Horizon to that in it will be fine.
Speaking of the Astre Wagon,I see a 1/1 scale version every now and them around the Van Nuys area.Blue Color.I would like such a model myself.Pontiac T1000's,too.
wildbill63 03-15-2007, 07:44 PM I had a Silver Aster wagon with black stripes, GT rims. It was a nice car. It had a dash plaque that said RTS. In small letters under that it said radial tuned suspension. Figured it was a Pontiac thing!
