I've replaced the points, condenser, coil (very expensive), and fuel pump.
It runs great when first started for about 15 minutes, then loses rpm's and runs rough. Sometimes it dies. It's on my welder, so when the rpm's decrease, I can't weld anymore.
It's an oldie but a goodie. It hasn't been used enough to be worn out. I've come to the conclusion that the problem might be nothing more than a grounding problem. The only spot I've found appeared to be the obvious one, a mounting bolt with several electrical ground wires routed to it. I cleaned it, but that didn't solve the problem. My manual didn't help with this. Does anybody have any ideas about where to search?
