I'm seeing this front one way diff thing but I don't know what it is. Does this mean that the cars front wheel only turn forward and if the car is in reverse the front goes to neutral?

Your right, but that's not what they were made for. their ment to keep rolling as you apply breaks or lift off the throttle. they engage as you apply power to the motor and keep spinning when your off the power. When you hit the brakes only the rear tires break and the front keep spinning.
