Some one just gave me a craftsman riding mower with a 14 hp Vanguard engine on it some of the wires got burt up in it. I was trying to figure out how to jump start it to see if it will atleast crank up befor I start to try to rewire it.

You could run a power from the battery pos. and touch it to the connection on the starter and see if it cranks. That is if the mower still has a ground. Were the wires burnt up from a short? You might have something else besides wires burnt, if your lucky just a fuse.

from what I can see the wire going to the on off button in burt up,and a red and blue wire the red is goin to the siloniod I think that what it is and im not shure where the blue goes to it is going into the motor right above the siloniod. And the plug on the ground it burnt. thats it for now still looking
