Well the top speed of any thing is relative to what motor, battery and gearing combination that you have for electric. For nitro depends on the size of the engine, fuel, glowplug, and gearing. You can make one faster then the other depending what motor you have in it how good it is. Speed isnt every thing especially if you can't controll it.

They will probably be just about the same speed.

A battery upgrade would help some. I use fantom brand of motors. The limited edition stock motors are out of this world. Regular maintenance of your motor will help it last longer and run faster. Clean it and oil it every 3 runs or so and if it starts slowing down and the comm is black have it cut and your good to go.

If you clean your comms well enough and frequent you wont have to cut them so often. brushes help alot too, I replaced them on my older 19t chameleon and man can you tell the difference! Try getting some gp3300 from raddio shack, i just picked up two and they work great and have a quite nice run time to them. Hope this help. Also there was a thread on here about comercial grade diff lube do a search on it. A nice clean and smooth diff is a fast n happy diff.
