Because the Aurora and the licencee with Faller Factcory (AMS) Aurora Plastics Europe could not introduce Blazin brakes, Aurora did turn these cars into super flamethrower cars. These super flametrowers have been sold in a very restricted way in Europe only.

FIRE ENGINE PLAY SET

This was the last play set designed by Aurora. It is a bit symbolic that it was a fire engine set. The fire engine with light was built upon a flat bed with a ladder from WIGARD, a german model company.It is sad that both car and set never made it to production, it should have been one of the first cars introduced by Tomy. The fire chief car was an existing collection model. The burning house and fire station were cardboard.
