My daughter and I stopped at a yard sale today to look for anooother stuffed animal...joy. To my delight there was a box-o-tjet stuff I picked up for $8. Other than track, 2 transformers, plunger controllers, stunt track kit, specialty track, car boxes and piece parts, there was a red with black interior hot rod roadster and a red/silver thunderbike both in good shape. After driving like a maniac to get home and try them, we cleaned up the shoes & added a couple drops of oil and had a blast. Thunderbike isn't much for handling in the turns :freak: . Keep looking everyone. This stuff pops up all over the place

Good find. We went to a bunch of sales today, too. Found a Pilates exercise DVD and a simply darling shelf for our entryway. :rolleyes: I gotta quit bringing the wife with. Did get a big lot of HO stuff earlier this week from a guy here that is going to switch to 1/32. Not much collectable but a whole bunch of good racer material. Keep looking.

awesome find Gearhead. I wanted to stop by a few today, I always slow up, look, then get back on the gas and my wife always goes "I know there was slot cars back there" (shes a 70's album collector and she always finds stuff when we stop for slot cars)

Wow...I still have yet to find anything decent like that....


Even back in the 70s I don't recall seeing too much killer stuff at garage or rumage sales....


One time I did get a response after asking a person having a garage sale if they had any GI Joe stuff they didn't have out. The lady said just a minute and came back out with a pretty good sized box of 1966-68 GI Joe stuff....some pretty rare at the time (pre internet 1984-88). I was pretty amazed and quite enthusiastic until she told me she wanted 250 bucks for it...far from garage sale prices...

I still bought it, but it wasn't a really great score. I think ebay has pretty much fixed finding good deals on valuable old stuff.
