Hy, i have a Craftsman 11.5 hp. brigg's engine in my riding mower. The odd time the fuel tank empty's into the crank case. I have taken the carb apart numerous time's, and every thing appear's good, would the float sticking cause the fuel to dump into the crank? Kind of scary , when you think of it. Any help would be appreciated, Thank's : Rick.

Hmm, lots of times that happens if the engine tips over, or something like that. It does that just from sitting?

ya, it doe's it from sitting or when it is running, but not all the time. It happened twice last summer, and i just got it out to get it running and crank full of gas and no gas in gas tank. It is a 15.5hp. brigg's OHV. Maybe i should E-mail Brigg's, and see what they say, if they will re-ply. Rick.

You've taken it apart..... but was the inlet needle and seat replaced? Does the float slosh or feel heavy? btw, briggs will reply to any question, but they'd tell you just the same.
