Wouldn't the funk 'o that damage the crusher though? :)

Shoot, I'd stomp on it, and then bash it with a baseball bat, and then place it on a real car like this.
Atencio 04-25-2006, 12:49 AM That is rather bad. I really can't find anything nice to say about it.
mn_dodgeboy 04-25-2006, 12:50 AM Do you see the real things on a day to day basis? If you do, I'm sorry. I see about 2 to 3 a day. :(

Thankfully, no. They haven't caught on where I am and hopefully they don't.
?????

He does it all the time in these Donk threads.
mn_dodgeboy 04-25-2006, 03:23 PM I'm glad for you, bro. And yes newb is getting on my nerves. He blatantly points out big rims as "black". He did it once in a HW thread about up and coming HWs. Methinks Hank needs to know?
mopar_man 04-25-2006, 03:48 PM Methinks Hank needs to know?
Already reported it.

Quantum 04-26-2006, 01:54 PM Whats with the design on the vinyl? Looks worse than the wallpaper in my great grandmother's kitchen.
jedimario 04-27-2006, 09:52 PM It's actually be pretty nice if the wheels were in the right place and the top was the same color.

Its supposed to be a type of designer fabric along the lines of GUCCI or LOUIS VUITTON. Looks like theres a "JT" in the pattern. My guess is JADA made their own "fabric" rather than pay to use a real designer's mark.
The irony is that the designer fabrics found on the tops and interiors of REAL "donk" things is usually fake.
Quantum 04-28-2006, 09:16 AM It just looks too cheap. You can put a dress and lipstick on a pig, but its still a pig.

I always say, "Just because you pour syrup on poo, doesn't make it a pancake."

Do the real things have the adjustable hydraulic suspension? I think they might be called "donks" because they appear to kick and buck, like equines.

Donkey has crossed my mind, but in different regards.
I'm not sure, but I don't think hydros are a part of that particular car scene. In fact, they use lift kits like those made by Gorilla Suspension.
According to LR magazine, "DONK, BOX, BUBBLE" refers to the shape of the cars.
DONK: 71 - 76 IMPALA or CAPRICE
BOX: 77 - 92 IMPALA or CAPRICE
BUBBLE: Mid 90s IMPALA (like the 4 door SS) or CAPRICE
Then, throw in the GM "G" body cars like the pictured GN in the mix along with the 80-90 big body Caddies.
"BOX" and "BUBBLE" make sense, but I'm still trying to figure out the origins of "DONK", but I have ideas.
mopar_man 05-02-2006, 08:04 PM I saw them at Wal-mart about 5 days ago. Checked again today, they haven't moved. Nice goin' Jada.
6-b-kwik 05-02-2006, 09:18 PM u can mail me a set of buicks if ya want!!!! not here yet
Diamond Star 05-02-2006, 09:55 PM It's my understanding "donk" is short for donkey, which refers either jokingly or ignorantly to the Impala emblem.

Yes, but it's quite the fetching pig:lol:
Seriously, I bought the 1:24 blue Caddy sunday, Only because I knocked it off the table at the Vineland swap meet in La Puente Ca. while visiting wife's family (I've been plinking it with a pellet gun ever since I got home). Thankfully, they haven't shown up in pheonix yet (that I've seen anyway).
