Motor backfires
Have did a tuneup, replaced fuel filter and pump and cleaned carburetor, seemed to run a little better after cleaning carb but only for a short time.
I am beginning to think its in the module.

It still runs but backfires all the time? How well was the carb cleaned?

It was completely dissassembled, sprayed with carb cleaner and blown with compressed air.
The only thing that wasn't done was to soak it.
Also the electronic float was replaced.

So it backfires all the time? What module are you talking about? Just trying to rule out some things.

I think I will start with the coils and then go from there.
It doesn't backfire all the time but a good majority, also seems like it surges.
It sounds weird but it seems like it does it most often when I am mowing the ditch banks and then when the drivers side is on the downhill side, made me almost think it was the seat safety switch but I repositioned and still the same, even tried wiring the switch constant.

Kinda sounds like the float is either sticking, or is just getting jumbled up with the steep incline.
