DJ1978 04-20-2006, 08:31 AM I have never heard about it either. But it would be cool
Full size sand drags are 300 ft. Full size times record times are in the 3 second range.
So a 30 ft sand strip would be awesome. I would be curious to see how fast they would go.

alsmith661 04-30-2006, 01:12 AM I have one in my backyard. It is 30 feet long. It is fun,but it needs to be flat.
I have some bumps and holes in it and it is almost impossibble to control my XXX-NT.

Sounds cool.It would be nice to see some pics of your truck in action on your track.
alsmith661 06-29-2006, 09:58 AM i would put some pics up but our digi cam is one of the cheap one that is only good for up close still pics. to give you an idea of what happend think of a mud drag rrun gone very bad,it ends up all over the strip which has 9 foot lanes.
JSP51N RACING 07-08-2006, 01:50 PM We was thing of dirt drags in sothwestern pa.. Was thing of 30 feet. I would say you need about 30 more feet for shut down area. You would need to play with wieghting the car or truck to help with the frount end.

CrazyBRONCOguy 12-10-2006, 05:40 PM We make a sand drag strip everytime we goto the beach with our cars, It is fun but we need a tree and some timing system for it to be really interesting.
I've been wanting to make a dirt one somewhere locally but haven't done it yet.
DJ1978 12-12-2006, 01:37 PM Send a suggestion to the editors of some magazines.. RC Driver, RC Car Action, Extreme RC, They might get it going somewhere.

Just like in full size sand drags...
Most vehicle have areas to add weight to help with traction and handling.
