Hey everyone I just wanted to start a new thread for Trax70 Superspeedway. The 2006 season is about to begin. They are having a FREE race April 23rd.

The driveline on this concrete high bank tri-oval is 385'. For more info about the track go to www.trax70.com

I am also trying to get the 12th scale class going this year. Cap tires are available for 12th scale cars this year. You can get a set from www.rc4less.com for $54.00. BSR will be releasing there new line of caps for 12th scale this month. There website is www.bsr-racing.com

Hope to see everyone on caps this year.

Marty,
Can't wait. It's going to be really nice. Last week, a few guys were running some practice laps. The track looks good. I also heard a rumor that there might be practice on Friday night, but that's not confirmed(need to ask Charlie). See you on the 23rd.

You guys are killing me. I can't make the 23rd. This is a fast fun track to drive and race at. All I can ask is to keep the Paul Heitz race clear of 7/21 - 8/12. Two TQ's and no win.

19t guys.....to get the intrest up for 19t racing this year, for the beginning of the season we will allow either the C2 or the Ultrabird for weekly club racing in 10th and 12th scale.

Also, on another note. There is an interest in a truck class for this year. If we can get enough racers on a weekly basis to support a seperate class I will add it in, if not and you still want to "race the truck" lol, then I will just add the trucks and cars together.

Why don't we just make it any Roar and Arcor leagal 19T?

At least for 10th scale.

I was just over at the track. It looks good. George let me run his car 'cause I was too lazy to work on my car this week. Hope to see a good crowd on sunday, should be real fun.

For 19 turn I would like to see the motor rule as any Roar, Arcor legal 19 turn. ( D5 can, tagged or marked arm and stand up brushes ) I would allow the C2 motor because that is the ORL motor for this year. When you start to narrow the motor rules to two motors like the ultrabird and the c2 we may not get a good showing for 19 turn class. I know I have some motors that are Roar, Arcor legal and are brand new in the box never run because other tracks went with the ultrabird as the track motor. The people that run 19 turn already have Roar, Arcor legal motors and may not have ultrabirds or C2's. It doesn't matter to me either way, I have the motors from The Birds that are awesome. If the problem is teching the motors, anyone of us 19 turn people can help out with that.

Alright that's enough out of me about the motors!

So who is all showing on Sunday and what time are we starting?

Hello all I wont be down for another week, trying to get some things done around here. Mark i have some tires if you want to try and race with us. LMK..........
As far as 19t goes we should be allowed to race what we have for now, either ultra bird,c2,Roar,Arcor, in the original configuration, no mix and match can and endbell or arms.
Just my penny for now..................................JM

As far as 19t goes, bring out whatever you guys have. We'll work it out. I just want to see the 19t class do well this year. As for tomorrow's weather, it should be cleared out by noon so as of right now we're still a go, even if it's just a practice day it's free. I'll post more info later.

Mark,
Looks like the weather is going to clear up mid-morning tomorrow, with scattered t-storms rolling in around 6:00pm. That should be clear enough. C'mon down. Bring dirk with you. lol.

I bet you'll help teching. This coming from the guy who gave "Special Thanks" to Mookie the tech guy in his A-Main sponsor sheet at the 'birds. I'll let everyone else make their own judgements :) I'll be there tomorrow.

howd it go sunday? get any practice in before the rain? whats the compounds i should be looking to get for the concrete, been a long time since ive run caps!

Hammer Down
04-24-2006, 08:08 PM
Hot laps on the concrete were awesome. We all got about 5 or 6 runs in. The track was a little cold so it took a few laps to really get up to speed. I ran the tires from last year, green left sides, blue rr and a gold rf ( BSR caps ) they worked very well after the sun came out with 70 plus degrees. I would have liked to see some lap times, but the computer was not hooked up.

Chuck thats funny right there! It's always a good idea to make friends with the tech inspectors! Mookie is the man!

Great to see everyone that showed, stuck it out for a good day.

See yah hopefully next week,

Marty

It was hella-fun:) I think the car needs a little something. Maybe jack up the car and put in a new driver:) I was also running Green left sides , but I was also running blues on the right side. Marty, is the gold softer or harder than the blue? I have a lot to learn.

What time did you guys end up taking off? Looks like the day turned out pretty well.

Chuck

The gold is harder then the blue. We left about an hour after you left.

What springs did you have in the front and in the rear of the car?

Yes, We're racing this Sunday, start time is 12 noon and the weather looks great. It should be about 70 and not a cloud in the sky.

Walter, the racing will be every Sunday. This season we're running the oval and offroad track on the same day. The Paul Heitz Memorial race will be on August 12th this year with the rain date being the 13th. For this race and the other big races, the offroad track will not be open.

See everyone on Sunday!!

Hello gang, I'll be down early in the morning, be ready to rumble 19t. Charlie what time are you showing up? Will you have the Jlap system in practice mode until say 11:20 , will give us a chance to figure a few things out at the beginning of the season.

Goodwrench29

I just wanted to thank everyone that came out today. And thanks for hanging in there with the delay. In 4-cell stock Steve Nye takes the win in the A-main, George Mease getting the win in the B-main, and Marshall Brown gets the win in the C-main, and George Moreira put the smack down in 19t getting the "W". The second decoder box along with 10 new house transponders will be in for next week so we'll be good to go:thumbsup: I also want to say thanks to George White for the help today as well. See ya trackside.

Also, on a side note, today saw some personal bests by Bill "RIP" Osborn, Jeff Zacher and George Mease ran a fast 32 laps in every qualifier plus the main. This looks to be an awesome season shaping up on the "WHITE MONSTER". I will have the results up soon.

As you know this season we are running the offroad and oval on the same day. This weekend was the first time we attempted this and for the most part it went well, a few delays but no major mishaps. Yesterday Patrick attempted to order another decoder box (lap counting thingy) but AMB is on backorder for this item. He went and placed us on a waiting list in which when it comes in it will just be shipped with no futher delays. I'm not sure when it will be here but hopefully soon. In the mean time, we will continue to do our best with getting the most out of our race day without delays. I have a few ideas in which to speed up the process that I will discuss with the Joe, Jeff and the rest of the offroad guys asap. Thanks for bearing with us during this little speed bump, and I'll see ya at the track.http://techtalk.teamtrinity.com/tt/images/smilies/smile.gif

If you have any questions just give me an email Charlie@Trax70.com

Suggestion number 1. Race offroad on Saturday...................... Suggestion number 2 stop letting the races take all the time they want between heats. Suggestion number 3. Race offroad on Saturday.

Walter

Also set a race day format and stick to it as far as the time goes. Try to annouce it more than one. Maybe even post the race schedule and times at the track so people can see it in case they don't hear it. Great place to race just need to nail the small things down to make it better for everyone.

don't worry guys, things will work out...especially once the new decoder box and transponders show...with more and more people on DSM we could easily run both programs at the same time. problem always has been that the best day for both tracks is sunday... I will be there this sunday to help charlie run things and play the go between guy for both tracks to help move the show along as smoothly as possible.
