Hi all

I have a question of sorts. Have been in the postion of trying to find a model of a car you either own now or have owned in the past but it is not made? What have you done? In my case, I own a Geo Metro. Don't laugh. I like it because it is fun to drive and cheap to run. Since a model of the car is not made, I looked for a car that was close to the Geo in design. The Peugeot model that is pictured below is a close design match to my real car. With a bit of work on one of these models, I could modify it to look close to the real car. The model itself is a Newray 1/32nd scale car with a pull back motor in it.

Peugeot 206 GTI

I also picked up a model of the Citroen C3 Pluriel Convertible made by Maisto. I have some pictures but the photo buckets site is down so I can not get to them. I will post them when the site comes back on line.

I have been trying to find a diecast of either a '83+ S10 Blazer or a '74 Maverick or a '94+ Ram Club Cab Sport.

I found my Saturn SL1 in Blue.

It was done by Hotwheels as a promotion for Saturn.
I wish you luck.
I now have 3 of the 5 cars I have owned.
A VW Rabbit 1975 -made by MB
A Chevy Vega made by JL although not the 1977 version I had
and my Saturn.
I do have a Dodge Daytona which was also named a Tourismo by Plymouth.
So I guess I have 4 in 1:64 scale.
I will have to look but I don't believe anyone has made a 1981 Honda Civic 1300. LOL
Happy Hunting

The Tourismo, while looking like a Daytona, was actually a version of the Omni, called the 024. The Daytona came out a few years later, and the Plymouth version was called a Laser. Due to slow sales, the Laser was discontinued in 1987.

The photo bucket site was open again. So here it goes. Here are the pictures of the Citroen C3 Pluriel Convertible by Maisto. It is 1/24th scale. I like it because it has the gereral look of my car but with no roof!!!LOL

That is one sharp looking little car. Lots of very nice detail.

In '72 I owned a 1964 MG 1100 sedan, but only for a short time. My bigger brother put his feet throught the passenger side floor boards, and an electrical problem later did me in. In any case, I finally managed to find the MB equivalent, but in a different color. The dog in the back seat however is not mine.

mn dodgeboy, try the Welly 1/24 Rams. They are 1994+ and are club cabs. I'm not aware of any others in the club cab form.

im in a real dillemma myself, with my 91 Toronado, they don't make any way shape or form a model of it, and sad to say, theres not even one remotly close to what it looks like to try to modify. I wish you look in the transformation to the Pegeot Storm :p

It is too bad that some car makes are not made in model form. I have to try and find another one of these Peugeot 206 GTI models to cut up. If any work is to be done on this car, look for a story on the customizing page of this forum.

I found my Saturn SL1 in Blue.

Would you mind posting a pic? I'd love to see it!

I've got a 2004 Pontiac Vibe GT in fusion orange. I found a silver one, in the Showcase package, at Target in Baltimore a few years ago. A few months ago I found a Super Fast Vibe in black. It's pretty cool to see my car in miniture.

The pics are too large to post here, but I'll put them in my gallery.
