Recently I received TWO paypal spoof emails titled
"receipt of your payment to gameslair"
First hint it was a spoof; I did NOT place a bid for an X-box 360 in the amount of, well, anything. But the total was $410.55
Second hint; paypal will say "This email confirms that you, "your ebay name", have paid so and so....
the spoof does NOT know your ebay name.
Third hint: at the bottom of the spoof is a clickable link to "dispute transaction" A real paypal receipt doesn't have that.
THIS is where they'll get you. If you click on the link, they'll prompt you to sign in with your password.
Need I tell you NOT to do it?
Just wanted to put it out there just in case.
Beware, the world is full of scam artists. Some are more transparent than others.
If you get one of these, forward it with full headers to spoof@paypal.com
