First and formost When you are done running for the day make sure all the fuel is out of the egine.Put your glow plug battery on and pull it over with the fuel tank empty to burn off any fuel left in the engine. Clean around the cylinder head with a blast of air or some kind of cleaner(Make sure the engineis cool to the touch) take out the glow plug and put a few drops of after run oil inside the cylinder, Pull on the starter cord a few times with the glow plug out. Take off the air cleaner put a few drops in the carb pull it over some more. Put the glow plug back in and your done. If you use a cleaner make sure it is safe on plastic it maybe flammable so MAKE SURE THE TRUCK IS COOL. Use an old tooth brush and a stiff bristle wide paint brush to get off all the dirt. If you have access to an aircompressor blow it off good. If the fuel is not completely burned out of the engine it can gum it up or cause rust. :(
Never run your engine with out the air cleaner off, Never. Make sure you have the proper gear mesh and make sure every nut bolt and e clip is tight.
Nitro trucks have a lot of vibration get some blue threadlock for the screws it might say in your manual on which ones to thread lock.
Last but not least a fuel filter is a must and clean air filter is a must.
You can get off all the dust on the airfilter with some carb and choke cleaner.
Make sure you reoil the pads in the air cleaner. I think they make a brand of oil for that.Remeber a clean truck is a happy truck.
