kzacher 04-16-2006, 01:10 PM Any pictures of the track available? What is the surface like and what tires do most people run?
Thanks
hankster 04-16-2006, 02:12 PM The surface is a loose sandy/clay mix. Step pins are the tire of choice. I don't think there are any current pictures of the track as it changes some every year. Lots of elevation changes (up to about 10 ft.) and it looks like there will be a cross-over jump this year.
Attached are pictures from 2003.
KevinDog 04-17-2006, 07:43 AM Yessir. We are doing a crossover. The layout was finished Saturday and I took some pics. I haven't had a chance to piece them together yet. Maybe I can get that done tonight.
Scott b#111 04-21-2006, 09:31 PM a cross over I will have to get there for that
DaWrench 04-22-2006, 12:06 PM Kevin:
Hi,
Do we have to be a ROAR member to race??????????
Thanks
KevinDog 05-05-2006, 09:18 AM Sorry for the delayed reply - the answer is NO, you do not. But if you sign up w/Roar at our first race we will waive the entry fee :)
JonHobbies 05-05-2006, 09:36 AM Are there any nitro classes or races scheduled this year ?
hankster 05-05-2006, 07:04 PM http://knigg1100.tripod.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderfiles/vorr2006.pdf
1armed1 05-06-2006, 07:09 PM Great time as always! A nice and fast layout made for some good racing, Great job crew.
Thanks
Dayton
dhauch 05-06-2006, 11:44 PM I see the races are only 5 minutes long.
with the technology in batteries today and lots of mahs. why only 5 minute races ?
dh
KevinDog 05-08-2006, 10:31 PM hmmm... good question. I'm all for 6 or 7 minute races even with my 2 and 3 year old packs. I wonder why ROAR (and almost every track) do 5 minutes.
http://roarracing.com/rules.php
Is there anyone out there running more than 5 minute qualifiers and mains for 1/10 electric?
1armed1 05-09-2006, 05:27 AM RC pro and Summit
hankster 05-09-2006, 05:28 PM RC Pro runs 7 min. mains.
WarpWind 05-09-2006, 08:50 PM If you guys started running 6+ minutes I'd gladly make the trip out there. It'd be kinda weird to think about gearing again....
7 Min. for stock and 6 min for mod. and yes you gear down for stock. The motors can't really hold up for 7 min of all out racing. They may last 15 plus min in practice but not racing.
dhauch 05-11-2006, 12:09 AM guess thats why i run brushless.
i can run it at race speeds pack after pack for 10 to 15 minutes.
and these aren't no whimpy motors either.

Loony 06-05-2006, 03:48 AM Awesome lay-out...props to the dogs for a perfect track all day...
The crossover is really well done.
IMO, that is the best layout ever for that track. (use of space).
Had a great day man. Finally took the stock truck TQ at the last minute.
Then ran a 10/5:03. Thanks to the lappers for a clean race.
Loony

That track looks pretty sweet!! Do you think you could invite some 1/8 out this year. Maybe you could ad us For one of those cash back races? I have not been to your track yet. I will be coming out to race gas truck though.
Thanks
jason
1armed1 04-10-2007, 12:28 PM 1/8th scale destroys that track and thats why they stick to 10th scale there.
Surely a great place to race though.

I hear what your saying, but its off road the track is supposed to change. I have a rake. End of the year? Sounds kinda like politics. See ya out there
airconde 04-17-2007, 03:00 PM I guess NO COMENT FROM THE VICKSBERG GUYS. I guess they are not racin just the MARS race ? That's probally a good thing now some other tracks can set more date's.
