hello, i have a briggs 4hp i think the engine is a model 10a902 the primer when pushed in does nothing and sometimes stays in. can someone suggest what the problem might be?
also i want to clean the gas tank, what is the best way to do that and what should i use? thanks in advance

Get a rebuild kit, soak the carb for a few minutes in carb cleaner, and blow it out... A new primer bulb wouldn't hurt. As for the gas tank, carb cleaner.... gas, whichever..

Make sure the pickup tubes are clean and clear at the mesh screens at the bottom.
