i seen hos sells lacquer in 2oz and 4oz pre blended is that what u used?
Looked at the HOK website.Blended colors are urethane basecoat.Will not work with lexan.Paint will shrink & chip right off.The kandy koncentrates will work,but you need to mix them with clear lacquer to work.Too expensive.The clear is over 100.00 per gallon.

Dang Guess Im Sticking To The Trusty Spray Can

Try a company named Black Gold.They used to have small quantitys of HOK lacquer.Also try Spastic.They have some neat lacquer candy colors ready to airbrush. I've used their candy red & it sprays awesome.

Paasche double action vl is a good,inexpensive starter kit.comes with 3 needles & tips(use the biggest one for laqcuer),a couple of bottles & a hose.invest in a good compressor(one for airbrushes)that can put out 30 to 35 pounds.Your going to need that if you spray any metalflake or pearls.I personally don't like fascolor.I personally hav'ent had good luck with it,so i stick to laqcuer.Sometimes liquer. :drunk:

I can 2nd that. Very good airbrush to start with. Paasche also has another good airbrush called the Millennium. It's a siphon feed double action brush. Also has a booklet of the 22 lessons of airbrushing. My .02

i love my VL easiest brush i have used !!
