Hi guys,


Remember me? I'm a racer.
Yeah, I've been playing with these little electrical adaptations of
real cars for close to 40 years. Off and on they still draw me back.
Cause I'm a racer.
Not the fastest, not the best equipment, I don't usually win even a
heat race but I don't care. Cause I'm a racer.
Remember the NASCAR commercial where two drivers with casts on their
legs battled through the pits on electric carts?
I watched cause I'm a racer.
I have a lot of nice cars. And I want even more. But I know that I
won't pay the price for a "shelf queen". Cause all my cars go on
the track. No exceptions, cause I'm a racer.
I have no racing secrets. Everything I know (and I admit that isn't a
lot) is free to anyone that asks. And even to some that don't. I try
to make every kids car faster and handle better. So they can go, and
compete, and understand what it is like to be a racer.
I have never cheated or bent the rules or tried for any
other "secret" method to win. Cause I'm not a cheater, I'm a racer.
I build good equipment. At this older age, it is the only thing that
gives me any hope of keeping up with the kids. But I don't win a lot.
Cause I teach them everything I know. Cause I'm a racer.
So hopefully some day I will share the track with you. And I know it
will be a lot of fun. And when I leave, please understand how much
respect I pay when I refer to you as a racer.
