New series on TV Land Wednesdays at 10. It apparently features a past TV star and what he's doing now. This week was "William Shatner in Concert." We catch up with Bill on the set of Boston Legal, at a Trek con or two, socializing with Nimoy and Mulgrew and Stewart, and performing at horse shows. But maily it concentrated on his "singing" career. He's been writing "songs" that he records as spoken-word (he has a musician who writes the actual music). The Shat performs in concert with Joe Jackson as a backup singer!
The show was actually put together with good humor and some clever editing. They were smart enough to not show an entire "song" without some more-entertaining cutaways. Also a very strange conversation, edited from old footage, between Capt Kirk on the bridge and TJ Hooker on the viewscreen.
Recommended for good laugh, if you can catch a rerun.
The series continues next week, catching up with Barry, eh, whatsisname - ya know, Greg Brady.
