Another great is gone.
I loved the original HEE HAW. With Roy Clark, they were a great team to lead, a real country music show. Great music, humor, cast, and guest.

Buck pretty much created "The Bakersfield Sound" and has a been a major influence on younger musicians like Dwight Yokum, Randy Travis, Wilco, and Son Volt among others. He was "Country" (and more than a litte bit Rock n' Roll) when the term "Country" still actually meant something before Nashville managed to turn it into the Pop Pablum that it is today. He was a great musician and a great entertainer besides. I think I'll go listen to "I've Got A Tiger By The Tail".
All these deaths of my childhood TV and movie stars ain't funny no more! Jeez.
I was JUST thinking about Hee-Haw and Minnie Pearl, Tiddle & Huff, Stringbean, Roy Clark (who lives not far from here) and Lulu Roman, Grandpaw Jones, and all the others doing "The Muppet Show" type humor even before Kermit. Wasn't Rolf the Dawg on with Jimmy Dean too? Hmmm.
