hi i am new here
i have a 11hp briggs snapper i got for free it hasent ran in awile i got it last year and she fired right up it dosent smoke and i would hate to take it apart because the pulley doesnt come off the motor and the tranny has to come off to get the motor off. any way it has a really bad knock in the engine and the bearings are gone there not even there anymore so i can move the shaft back and forth alot but it still runs good with no smoke it is really noisy but i just push the botton and in one sec she starts right up the head gasket is shot because its so worn out but i can still cut grass i use it as a spare and drive around for fun every day. i dont think i am going to replace the bearrings on it because it will take to much work because of the pulley not coming off and everything what do you think i should do?

Need to use some periods in that sentence..... This is a synchro balanced 11 horse? It could be a rod knock, which you don't want......, this is this a rear engine snapper? If it was me, I'd repair the engine...OR find a good used 12horse I/C briggs to put on it.
