He no longer has the engine. Again i"m sorry for my tardy responce. Jerry JamCom 06-29-2006, 02:14 PM hello everyone. i am new to this. I just traded a Tecumseh 8hp for a briggs 23b and i was told the engine could be a 9hp. can anyone confirm the actual hp of this engine? the engine info is model:23 type:203314 serial:214589 JamCom 06-29-2006, 04:34 PM Ok sorry about that. I did some research and i found out that the engine 23b was indeed a 9hp. I cleaned it up and got it running. Its a beautiful engine and it starts up on the very first pull and runs like a charm. It is a bit noisy because it needs a exhaust system. Does anyone knows where I could get an exhaust system for it or what the part number is for the exhaust system for this engine?. I plan on selling it because its way too big and heavy and besides I already have an 11hp Briggs with electric start that is much smaller and less heavy than this 23b. It is located in Woburn Massachusetts...617 642 9590 vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
