View Full Version : RaceTech parts
mredzadventure 03-21-2006, 09:27 PM Does anyone know where i can find some Racetech parts. I was told that the car was a MacAttack slider cassis. The car is in great shape and I'm curious on how it will handle. any info on the car or the long gone company would be helpful. I've been out of racing for the last 5 years I ran a Woods X-13 What a car! The pod reminds of it. it is very smooth. Any place i could find parts would help out alot . Just my luck finally get back into racing and I get a hard to find car :freak:

ebay # 6045952647 email the seller,he should have what you need.
burbs 03-22-2006, 03:29 PM [QUOTE=mredzadventure]Thanks for the help so far I need some T plates there is some stuff on
they still use that style of t plate on some cars.. hyperdrive should have them yet as well as the stel t plate companies.. the t plate style is offset...
mredzadventure 03-22-2006, 05:00 PM I checked with guy's at finish line he wasn't sure he said there plates were based of an associated t-plate Thanks you've all been a big help
mredzadventure 03-22-2006, 05:09 PM Mabye i should post som pics my car has a sliding battery tray 1 shock and a single damping tube on the pod and a aluminum tube across the bottom of the pod with berings in it. The tray looks identical to a KSG but i emailed them pics and they said it was a race tech. I looked at the listing and those chassis look close but not like this on. UUG Sorry the pix are so big only way i know how.

so you have the hinged rear pod.
mredzadventure 03-22-2006, 11:01 PM Ya i traded this car for some Drum stuff I did'nt I was told it was a race tech mac attack My last car was a woods x13 and this thing is as smooth as my woods car. But can I get parts? If the pic is to big let me know i'll get it off of the board
The car is discontinued, and the co. is gone, but racers on here should have some spare parts around, and check with hobby shops like those in the support on the right of the page, should be some around. If nothing else you could change the bottom plate and get a normal style tplate off a racetech g-force car.seen a lot of those on ebay too, like the 1 in the earlier post i gave you.
mredzadventure 03-22-2006, 11:14 PM Thanks what threw me off of who made this car was the battery tray. It looks identical to a KSG tray but the grapite matches perfect to the chassis. Like it was cut from the same piece. The design looks very interesting with the spring set up and damper tube instead of a three shock set up. It looks like a quality car but acouple of times in the wall and I'm done
Bill Johnson 03-22-2006, 11:28 PM Just so you know alittle about the history of the Racetech cars. They were designed and manufactured for Racetech by KSG, before KSG started marketing there own stuff...........
Boy does that chassis bring back some memorieshttp://www.hobbytalk.com/bbs1/images/icons/icon12.gifLooks like a Dillion tweak system on it. Those are definatly Raceway aluminum front uprights on the front. That aluminum swizzle stick was the ticket in its day. Won a lot of races with that chassis http://www.hobbytalk.com/bbs1/images/icons/icon10.gif
mredzadventure 03-23-2006, 07:31 PM Thanks guys Like i said I've been out of the game for 5 years. So whats the bottom line? Can the old girl get me to the show or should I find a new dance partner. funds are going to prevent me getting something to soon. Am I throwing good money after bad trying to get this thing competitve. I talked to Barry at Hyperdrive he said his T plates would work for that car. That is something I break sometimes. What is the dillion weak system? You guy's have been a great help. Especially to a newbie. Great board!
The Dillon[not dillion!] tweak system is the spring system on the rear of the car that adjusts the tweak[rear weight].It was designed by Richie King,Andy and Jim McClellan back in the late 90's and as it's history shows won many races. This car will be a fine starter car,and will upgrade simply.[$$$] The Dillon name came from Harry Dillon, original owner of Dillon Racing.Richie bought the co. from Harry in the late 90's[ august 96 i think] and ran it successfully for a few years before selling to AAA Model supply[Dale Benton]In the meantime Andy and Jim were developing their own car,and after the 97 nats at King sold the car to Racetech motorsports owner Steve LeFara[sp?].Steve did the marketing and Andy did the kits, until Steve sold to Bolink.Andy continued for a short time the manf. of the cars, hence the name Mac Attack. Then things broke apart and Andy and Jim formed KSG and continue on today.
Nice History lesson DK. Enjoyed reading your post http://www.hobbytalk.com/bbs1/images/icons/icon10.gif
mredzadventure 03-23-2006, 10:20 PM WOW... :) Ok Professor Explaine Cold usion,Warp Theory and...... Ah ha... Women!... And just what makes twinkies so tastey.. Lol.. Seriously Thanks for the info your the man in the know ,I'll know who to ask in the future. What is a good starting point for set up on this car. you also mentioned up grades ??? Please Professor tell me more. Really!! This is alot of help Thanks again :dude:
LOL,seriously i race for Team Hyperdrive and have for 11 years, but most of these cars are pretty similar.I would go to the KSG thread and find a beginning setup and go from there. As far as the tweak system, just put about a 3oz.split[LR heavier] to begin with by tightening the LR screw down.As far as women go........ good racing!
mredzadventure 03-25-2006, 03:15 PM Thanks again 11 years driving for Hyperdrive I think i'll know who to ask if when i can get my hands on one of thier cars. I live in Michigan and oval pretty much dies here in summer. So by fall I'll have the car ready. It looks like none of the new ars use that type of tweak system anymore, was it tricky to set up.
KRITER 03-26-2006, 08:26 AM mredzadventure,
you stated that you ran a Woods X13 car, Do you need parts for this car? I have several chassis and pod parts for sale at a good price. Thanks, KRITER
mredzadventure 03-26-2006, 09:38 AM Hi Kriter. I put that car on Ebay a few years ago. but send me an email or some pics let me know what ya want for them. Do you have enough parts enought to build a car?
koolaid89 04-18-2006, 04:37 AM where are u racing at mr?
mredzadventure 04-19-2006, 07:40 PM Right now in the back yard. This summer I'll be playing in the dirt. I'm going to try to get to the dirt track in West Olive and the dirt track in KZoo MI at Hobby Sports. I hope to run oval there when the weather gets cooler. Thats the time I bring out my oval stuff. If i feel like getting a through butt kicking I might try one of the M.A.R.S. Races down in Litchfield MI. Here in Mi everyone moves outdoors for the summer.
98Ron 02-16-2007, 02:18 PM Mredzadventure, I've got some Racetech parts, PM me if you are interested.
