As many of you know we have totally come to a dead end. Nothing we plan seems to pan out. So we lean on each of you for a bit of help. We want this event (and all events) to pull in big numbers, not for us; but to make the races GREAT!

Keep in mind the following:

The track CANNOT be open (due to Stafford Speedway events) on
April 9th
or April 28th-30th.
Also There are big events (with other tracks) on April 22nd/23rd and May 7th.

I wonder how well a Saturday race would work for racers being that the ones traveling wouldnt have to rush home late Sunday night....that might work well....

I also dont know if regular racing at other tracks would effect the attendance.... (I notice there is NO posted big events so it would only be the regular racing)...

Please take the poll and let us know any thoughts, suggestions or feelings ASAP so we can plan for this event.

Another thought....what if we get in the habbit of having a MONTHLY event...like the last Sunday of every month...or the last weekend of everymonth ROTATING which day whether it be saturday or sunday...allowing for all racers to make at least once every other month I know there are some who can ONLY come on Saturdays...others can only come on Sundays.....so one month it could be Saturday the next month Sunday.... What do ya think?

Also...the food issue is being resovled.....FIRST GREAT NEWS I FOUND A PIZZA HOUSE to deliver on Sat/Suns.... Next..... We are working on getting more food in.....so it looks like everything is coming together....

We are also working on setting up extra pit stations in the event we fill more often like we did yesterday... Thanks again for the thoughts everyone... TRULY.

How about Saturday 15 April 2006, the only other conflict is in Canada and that shouldn't conflict with the crowd that you will draw because, once you get into May allot of people get involved with real racing and don't have time for R/C racing. Just my .02

Bob I dont know how fast Chad wants to pull something together because he wants to get trophies, prizes, etc and i think some of the distributors will need time to send us stuff; but I will def ask him. Does that mean you might make an appearance?

I voted for Sat. 5/13....Evening....But day is fine also....I prefer Sat. racing anyway....

I voted for 5/13 daytime. Why? Don't know had to choice something.

Well my concerns about daytime is that what about people who have to work? But I also think those who may travel to this event may appreciate it being on a Saturday that way they dont have to rush back for work/family/etc.

I realize there's both good and bad to any day we pick but at this point I think the best part of any race is having more than enough racers/competition. Without a challenge who really wants to come. I just need to figure out what date will bring in the most people and then plan from there.

I want to start advertising for the event....getting the word out so I gotta get this darn date picked, LOL.....

I pick saturday night. gives me time to get there 2 hours away and gives me time on the track

We are really stuck; we want a nice turnout but a few regulars implied they couldnt come on a saturday night event....we are hearing Sundays are best....

O.K. I'll decide for you! SATURDAY DAYTIME, Open track early(7am) start racing at 1pm. Have a tight time frame, move the day along. only have 15min between rounds, instead of half hour. Set the date, they will come.........

LOL...... Well thats an executive decision (remind me to tell you about the whole "executive decision" joke)...

I honestly think we are heading towards the 13th; alot more outta towners can make it and althought some of the regulars wont be thrilled; maybe they can change their schedules just this once.....

But I do think the races will be later in the day... I think Chad decided that awhile ago...like practice during the day..race in the afternoon and evening.... but dont take my word just yet... Im hoping he will feel well enough to decide today.....

The "mad squirrel disease" had him under the weather (ask Kim she will explain) so I kept my distance last night while he fought it out...

Chad just called he said

"SPREAD THE WORD WE ARE GOING WITH SATURDAY MAY 13th!"

He also said he is leaning towards a 6pm race start..........

Spread the word everyone...lets see this race SIZZLE!!

I really hope you all will try & make this event...lets welcome the summer with a blow out!

I feel for Chad...mad squirrel disease has me "squirrley" again today!! Ahhhhh...won't it ever go away!!!

Now I only had it for about 40 hours (not quite 2 full days..) so I dont know why you two are so harshly suffering.....for so long - I gotta say its a mean bug! Ive NEVER in my life been in that much pain; my upper stomach - whatever the area is called was ON FIRE with serious indegestion, pain/throbbing (it was like I didnt swallow a HORSE pill and it was lodged)........I was burping more than breathing.... it was horrible. My tummy was turning.... big time turning... I was outta breath the whole time, could barely get air in..it felt like... then you add in being dizzy...light headed, just overall feeling like a bag of poop!

But I feel better (knock on wood) since yesterday. Im finally eating again, I had no hunger whatsoever....

So to both you and Chad - get better dang it - if he keeps it up Im sending him to live with you because I dont want this bug again.... It was hard enough for the 40 hours I had it...I had to sleep SITTING UP!

Im scarred for life.

The track will open at 9am on Saturday May 13th..... Practice all day (obviously no charge) We will make sure that the local pizza/grinder place either delivers or we will arrange a pick up.....

Classes are: (All classes are 4 Cell); SK Mod Tour, 1/10 Scale Stock, 1/10 19 Turn; Additional classes if 5 or more wish to run!

One Practice Heat will be held at 4:00pm to help set the field

Actual Qualifying/Racing will start @ 6pm (3 rounds of qualifying plus the Main)

There will be a 10 minute break between rounds

Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 of each Main

There will be a 60/40 Raffle - for $1.00 per ticket - each person will get a chance at a one time drawing for 60% of the total collection.

We anticipate NO racer will go home empty handed....between the prizes, K&N Give-aways for discounted race/practice passes, the raffle and the trophies, everyone should leave with a smile!!!

It's a BRING YOUR OWN MOTOR...however we will have various vender motors on stock; only ROAR approved motors (on the date of the race) are to be used.

All cars are subject to tear down at anytime including but not limited to BEFORE AND AFTER each race.

Flyers/sign up sheets are anticipated to be ready at the track/on our website and by request asap......

Please do your part to help support K&N by spreading the word; we ALL benefit from this as the race only gains more competition and we all enjoy ourself just a bit more!

We had an OKAY time at Winterblast...even better at NEOT...lets see what the Spring Sizzler brings..... maybe some of us will be hanging from the beams...LOL (and I dont mean the squirrel!).... :wave:
