Race Dates:

May 6th, June 3th, July 1st, August 5th, September 2nd.
(If a race is canceled due to poor track conditions or rain, we will race the following Saturday)

5 Minute Qualifier Races

There will be 10 minute Races for A-Mains only. All others will be 5 minute races.
Classes (Nitro Only)

1/10 Nitro truck (.12 to .18 engine)
Examples: Losi XXX-NT, Associated RC10 GT, Traxxas Jato etc.

1/8 4wd buggy (.21 to .32 engine)
Examples: Ofna Ultra LX Comp, Kyosho MP777, Mugen MBX5 etc.

1/8 Arena Trucks (Truggy) Examples: HPI Hellfire, Ofna Jammin X1T etc.

1/10 Monster truck (.15 to .32 engine) Examples: Savage, T-Maxx, LST2 etc.

Hobby-Sports.com must have at least four entries to make a class for all 4 races.
We may combine certain classes if necessary.

Track director has the right to eliminate anyone who causes trouble and does not follow the standard rules. If you need a copy please ask.

Just wanted to thank every body for coming out saturday may 6Th. The next race will be saturday june 3Rd with a new track layout.

Hey Jon, is practice open for nitro durrning the week? also is it free too?

Yes Blueskid free practice during the week any time the store is opened. The track will be tore up for a few weeks for a remodel for the season. Thanks for the question.

Thanks Jon, have you started tearing the track up yet? If not, do you know when you will start?

how'd the carpet season turn out??? I really liked it when u had the indoor dirt, I don't like driving to Laporte just to drive my truck!!!!!

LTRAIN: It went ok for or first winter carpet season but their is always room for more racers.

May I ask what happens with the carpet track through the summer? is it open for practice ? or just shut down?

The Indoor carpet track is opened for practice any time the store is opened and were not racing outside.

The city of portage shut our outdoor track down because of chapter 24, article 4, noise.

Noise on adjacent residential property reached as high as 77.9 decibels during R/C race.

The track will be made into a parking lot.

I want to thank all the racers who came out and showed their support.

The indoor carpet track will be continue to be open for practice during normal business hours.

Gotta love the City of Portage....Seems like you sgould have been able to make some adjustments to the track area to lessen the noise...a high bank or something...sorry to see it go...
