R.S. adamliehr 03-16-2006, 09:35 AM The 4383 is a decent brush when you get a good set of them. They just seem to not put out as much power as some of the other brushes do. Adam Liehr :dude:so whats the hot brush then SHADOW 03-16-2006, 04:31 PM Only problem with the 4383 is that they drop off pretty fast in even a mild modified motor. We've run them in the spec motor and they seem to last a week or two. I prefer the Putnam X brush produces lots of power and doesn't drop off after a couple weeks. I ran all last summer in 19 turn with them and they didn't drop off, dynoed and preformed the same everytime. erock1331 03-16-2006, 04:51 PM Shadow, Do you mean they drop off during the first run ? or drop off after repeated use ? I have had good luck with Trinity XXX's and Putnam X brushes. I only run my brushes one run though. I have heard the Finishline F standup has been good lately. Run em, reserrate em and let em rock pepe 03-16-2006, 04:53 PM The 4383's are as good as any other for the spec motors,Like any other brush and motor the fresher the better. The 4383 brushess seem to be fast but is hard on the motors commutator thus loosing power (drop off). Putnam X 19t brush runs alot better and is much easyer on the commutator. RPM 03-16-2006, 06:35 PM Shadow, I have heard the Finishline F standup has been good lately. Run em, reserrate em and let em rock I have run the Finishline F brush and its a very good brush. Very fast but you need to watch not to over gear or over time the motor. To much heat and they tend to drop off fast. SHADOW 03-16-2006, 08:22 PM If you're asking if the 4383 drops off after 1 round in a spec motor, yes. We'd get 2 to 3 runs out of them and watched the power drop off. The $383 is at best a 1 run brush in regular modified. The Putnam X brush just holds the power alot longer without having to put new ones in each run in 19 turn or in a spec motor, modified thats a differant story. Hammer Down 03-16-2006, 10:05 PM I've been running the Trinity XXX in all my 19's and they all make between 100 and 108 watts. The motors only get better as you run them. I usualy rebuild my motors after about 8 to 10 runs. I've run the 4383's serveral years ago and they do make good power but they are only good for one run. Putnam X brush is also a great brush for 19's but I do perfer the Trinity XXX brushes. My opinion, pepe 03-16-2006, 11:00 PM If you're asking if the 4383 drops off after 1 round in a spec motor, yes. Can't say that myself,we've been runnin 4383's in spec motors here for years and I've had motors that kept good power for half a dozen runs, dip it to remove the glaze and run half a dozen more runs, definitly not a one run brush. katf1sh 03-16-2006, 11:02 PM XXX brush is a damn fine brush for the ultra bird motors 19 turns....lot's of runs on them they get better with age..kinda like wine and cheese....... grif 03-17-2006, 12:19 AM would you like some cheese with that whine?
