It was different, but not to bad.
There will be more to this saga quite soon, for now jus' tink 'bout sum long hair'd dude out in the garage with a sharp blade foamin' at the mouth cuttin' up e'erytin' in sight... :dude:

I got my 50pc. rotary tool at Longs Drugs for about 19 bucks. It doesn't have the greatest touque in the world, but it serves it's pourpuse well enough  As for bits buy the best. For heavy grinding stick with the carbide bits. There often the most expensive, but they'll remove the most metal the fastest. For finer grinding in more sensitive areas diamond coated bits are ideal. Diamond cut off disks are also ideal for cutting A pillars and such. Its also a very good idea to mask around any areas you dont want to grind into. Rotary tools have a tendency to get away from you at this scale and a wandering carbide bit can easily screw-up your day pretty quick if your not carefull.
Dude502 03-13-2006, 12:34 AM Tank's Grayhouse. I guess I should mask off mine finger's an hand's as well 'eh? I already see the neat possibilty's there.

Barrel type cutter and a cone cutter work good. Also a couple of small drill bits something around 1/8 and smaller. Some cut-off wheels. I've found grinding them down to a smaller diameter helps get in the tight places.

Get you a jeweler's saw you can still do the Texas Chain Saw thing but with a Jeckel & Hyde flair Hope this helps
Dude502 03-13-2006, 01:32 AM Right on, tank's for all the info. Look's like I'll be at the part's store an the 'ardware store this weekend. I need more paint as well, today was a good day in the custom shop. The halogen light does wonders for heatin' the material an the paint an flashin' the paint. :dude:
