Hi first post on this site (I usually lurk around over on the modeling boards) My wife recently suprised me with this piece. I received one at the age of 5 on Christmas from my grandparents and have wanted to replace it for years. She found this one at a local thrift shop (what a find) As far as I know there were two diffrent variations of this piece one made by Buddy-L and one made by Wenco (this is a Wenco) if any one has any additional info on this peice I would love to hear it.Here is a photo from christmas 1964 and a current photo of the one she got me. I got that same truck for Christmas myself one year!!!! (early '60s)
