i_set_fire 04-08-2006, 12:00 PM will there be any practise the weekend before?

i_set_fire 04-09-2006, 10:18 PM do you guys need help? i would be happy to help once school is done and i have my weekends back!
wiscentral52 04-13-2006, 09:31 PM ttt
What bodies can we use for this race?? Proto Charger? Milwaukee Mcallister?
How about Campers? will there be power and water available?
haysreeling 04-16-2006, 04:25 PM Dave, Glad you guys will be able to make it!
I'm not making the rules for the race, but I think it would be fair to everone to only allow bodies that everyone has access to. Everyone can get the Milwaukee McAllister, but most guys will not be able to get the Proto charger..... unless they are released by then.
I am pretty sure there is power there for campers....... Dave J can answer for sure though.

haysreeling 04-16-2006, 04:29 PM Also we do normally check roof height and weight.... roof height is 4.5" and 41oz for the weight i beleive.
haysreeling 04-16-2006, 06:25 PM Whoops I lied..... i meant to say 42 oz for weight
Humpty 04-16-2006, 07:46 PM Maybe you guys have better luck getting the People from the USPanCarChampionships to even bother showing up at your Track.....Good Luck.....And I hope you dont go spend a bunch of money on top 10 trophys for all classes on this guys promise of peolpe showing up.....Later Humpty Helms...
Humpty 04-16-2006, 07:56 PM This is from the trackowner at Easley Sc..Where the last race was supposed to be held..... From: Donnie Burnett (duck03) 10:41 am

Carolina has gotton through a lot of hard times, and will continue to do that. I did our part to host this race. And now I will do the right thing and let who so ever know that wants to what USPANCAR is all about! (from our facts)
I talked to Mr Williams and got the things that he said we should have for the race, 6 class and trophy's for the top 10, trophy's for the top 3 in B mains. Thats 60 + trophy's that I did get and paid a lot of money for.
I made many calls over the PA system for anyone with was with USPANCAR and NO one showed. So after time run out we just run a reg race program and didn't make anyone pay the $25 per class for the USPANCAR.
I will be making follow up calls to all the parts involed to make sure this will not happen to anyother tracks or clubs.
Donnie
uspancarchamps 04-16-2006, 08:41 PM Ok bud, I already addressed this on your forum so if you wanna talk about this then drop me a PM but don't go stinking up other events because yours didn't go so well. besides, Im working on some administrative changes within the USPCC right now so hopefully that won't be an issue anymore. So why don't you drop me a PM and we can discuss this...or would you rather stick to only having one side of the story?
millerman 04-16-2006, 09:16 PM well i ran a us pan car race at platinum hobbies about a month ago and theres still no results from the race on the us pancar site .................... so just wondering whats up with this series
uspancarchamps 04-16-2006, 09:26 PM There's a lot of problems honestly because this basically is a solo project for me where I have to wear ALL the hats and things are not very efficient. Im working with somebody who has some people he said would help out so hopefully I won't have to do everything anymore but be able to make this work as I know it can with the right people involved.
Humpty 04-16-2006, 09:28 PM USPANCAR....I made special arrangements to be there along with alot of other people ...And you were a No Show....No matter what the excuse is you should at least have the common descency to call the track owner and them know before hand ...They spent lots of time and money on your BS promises....And turned away 50 of there loyal offroaders on friday night racing ...Because you said there would be lots of guys there that neede to practice....And I am just letting other tracks know the truth of the matter......As I think they should.....
Hurricane Racer 04-16-2006, 09:41 PM Although I dont think tracks should be screwed over, Humpty, I think you need to take this offline.... I think we can give him the benefit of the doubt, and when mid-May arrives, we will see what happens. No need to hijack this thread and start an arguement from the past, although the notice of what did happen, is appreciated.

Humpty 04-16-2006, 09:46 PM Hurricane ...Thats all it was ..Is a Beware .....Hate to see any track get taken....Good luck and I hope all works out well .....
BTW ...Are there any other big races at the TriClone this year...I asked Heft about it at the Open in Akron and he wasnt sure ...Want to make it up this year sometime...Have never had the honor of racing there and would love to soon....
uspancarchamps 04-16-2006, 09:55 PM Id like for this to be a good race too. I mean honestly this has been one of the harder years for me. I blew my knee out end of last year, had surgery, sister went in and out of the hospital, nearly got kicked out of school, sister went back into the hospital, slipped into a coma (which she only just came out of a few days ago), and Im still a full time student in the midst of all of this while having to wear all of these hats.
I have never meant to take anybody through all of this. That is why I have been working behind the scenes to get some more people to possibly take some of the burden off. So that what happened at Carolina RC DOESN'T happen anywhere else.
That is my final commentary on this matter. Humpty, if you want to talk in more detail, I would be more than willing to give you my number, otherwise, this is not to be discussed any further on other threads relating to these events.

Humpty.......Check out the thread Midwest Triclone BRUSHLESS BASH. They announced the race right after I got back from my butt whoopin at Akron. They will be running mod at this race also. There is a pre-entry list on there also. Check it out.
Monti007 04-16-2006, 11:32 PM I don't care what you call this race.....USPCC, Roar Nats, Arcor Open, or just another race with a fancy title and means nothing. All I know is that everytime I go to Tri-Clone I have a great time. I don't know if it's the people, the track, the cow shit across the street, or seeing Keivns daddy Sully when I go up there but I have a great time. My point is, I just want to race at a good track that runs a fun, and friendly program and what ever title you put on the race I will continue to support the Tri-Clone.

SHAKY DAVE 04-17-2006, 02:52 PM Just To Add To The Confusion, the Race We Had At Hot Rod Hobbies Wasent Really Promoted At All.no Flyers,no Nothing.also No Show From The Promoter.the Day Of The Race,i Asked Jimmy Babcock(track Owner)where Was This Guy From Back East??he Dident Know.also Around 20 Entrys(no Roadcourse!!!!)this At A Track Where Our Sunday Series Averages 55 Entrys.i Normally Run Modified, but With Only 2 Entrys In 19 Turn,i Ran That So The Guys Running It Dident Get Bored.i Guess I Qualified For The Big Finale, but I Was Never Notified Where Or When(probley Wont Be Promoted Also).i Beleive Humpty Was Making A Valid Point,& Pointing Out Some Problems With A Series Thats Run Fron An Armchair 3000 Miles Away.i Appreciate Somebody Trying To Put On A National Series, but Ask The Track Owners What They Have To Do Anymore To Get People Out To Race.not Easy Anymore. Seems We Are Going Thru A Growing Period On The West Coast, but The New Faces Are Still Few & Far Between.we Need Decent Promotions For Big Races.maybee Even In The Magazines Again Like The Drome Races Used To Be,and Now Only Dirt Races Are Promoted There.
uspancarchamps 04-17-2006, 02:56 PM itsstuff like this that is the reason why Im looking for people to help, not to mention I need active participation from the tracks themselves as well. I can only do so much since this is pretty much a solo project for me and has been largely for the last 2 years.
triclone-dave 04-17-2006, 02:59 PM We race for 16 to 20 min it is not the racing it is the people, we don't drive hundreds of miles and spend all this money for a trophy that no one outside of this hobby will see.
One name I will allways remember JIM WICK
IF YOU KNEW HIM THAT IS ALL I HAVE TO SAY
bs motors 04-17-2006, 08:45 PM well guys do to lack of time i brian liebig of bs motorsports will be taking over most of the work from bj. i am going to try to straighen out this year and get started on next year any insite would be great.
brian
Craig 04-18-2006, 08:38 AM If you want some ideas take a look at the RC PRO Series for offroad. It started as a one man show much the same way as you. Now after several years it is one of the biggest non-sanctioned series in the nation and getting bigger. An average race attendance is usually 100-200+ racers.
It looks like part of the problem was unrealistic expectations and inexperience all the way around.
uspancarchamps 04-18-2006, 09:10 AM I will most certainly concur with that point Craig. Im sure that something like that will not be lost on Brian or any of the guys he brings in to help.
Humpty 04-18-2006, 11:17 AM Sound good maybe he can turn it around and make something of it ....Good Luck ...
uspancarchamps 04-18-2006, 09:06 PM Thanks Humpty. Oh and Craig and anybody else from Carolina, if you want to further discuss compensation from this weekend Brian is the guy to talk to. You should be able to email him through his user profile on here.
Craig 04-19-2006, 12:42 PM Well I'm not 100% sure about the compensation deal. I think both parties enter into this with a certain amount of risk even though the track/club obviously has more risk if they are paying for trophies. BUT, each track/club should look at the classes offered and look at what the active classes are in their local region and buy trophies based on just the classes running. By no means should the regular racers be excluded even if their class is not on the USPCC list. If the tracks/clubs make this a big trophy race for all classes then it will be more inclusive. Also don't buy b-main trophies for classes that have no chance of having a B-main. If you look at other regional events or Nationals you will see what the most populated classes could be. When it comes down to it the most responibility comes down upon the track/club for promoting the event. None of the other Orgs. guarantee they will have representation at every event. The Orgs. don't really do any promotion of the event except maybe a website mention of it. BUT the Orgs. take membership fees which you get nothing for in return. Did the USPCC expect a part of the entry fees?
The USPCC has great potential of growing into something great if it's looked at differently. Not all regions of the country run the same classes and that will be one big hurdle to overcome. But tracks/clubs bear the brunt of the expense and the rewards of the benefits and must expect to take a loss if it doesn't go like planned just like any other race. Sometimes you make money and sometimes you don't, that's just the way it goes in business. There are no guarantees.
Dave usually has trophies available for anyone that needs one......
Sometimes I take 3-4 trophies myself...
This thread deserves a bump. Guys, I am having a hard time waiting for this race! I can't wait to get out on the high banks!
How bout a roll call for the race.
I'll be running 4300.
I'm not making the rules for the race, but I think it would be fair to everone to only allow bodies that everyone has access to. Everyone can get the Milwaukee McAllister, but most guys will not be able to get the Proto charger..... unless they are released by then.
Hays
What's the official decision? If we can't run the chargers, I'm going to have to get a couple bodies. I'm fine with whatever the decision is, I just need to know so I can get to work. Oh, and who said racing was fair?
uspancarchamps 04-26-2006, 01:11 PM I'll let Dave make the call on that one. Brian is getting some stuff together that I sent him and hopefully will be able to make an announcement regarding this year in the next couple weeks
Danny B 04-26-2006, 01:59 PM The PF Dodge Charger should be shipping in mass quanities within the week. The liscensing BS was approved this morning. Everyone that wants one should be able to get one for this race.
Of course nobody is saying this will be the body to have for the clone but they should be available.
haysreeling 04-26-2006, 07:14 PM Talked to Dave Jansen, and it is legal to run the Protoform Charger. And your right dave z, its not alway fair.
Hays Jr
Barooose 04-27-2006, 05:15 PM This is going to be a great way to kick off the summer season. I can hardly wait.
uspancarchamps 04-30-2006, 12:25 AM Good to know. Hey Dave I gave your email to Brian...has he contacted you?
This is going to be a great way to kick off the summer season. I can hardly wait.
I never knew you were able to "hold back"!!!!
Dave J 05-01-2006, 07:28 AM Good to know. Hey Dave I gave your email to Brian...has he contacted you?
Brian has not contacted me, but we will be ready to go. The track will be sealed this week so we should be able to have a couple of practice sessions before the opening weekend.
I know some things have been said about this event but we are going to FUN !!! We will have practice on the 18th and 19th as stated on the flyer at www.triclone.net Come race day we will take a look at the attendance and the weather and make adjustments.
We are going to reduce the race fee to $15 and $5 for additional classes
The awards will remain the same--top three in each class
Thanks Dave J.
uspancarchamps 05-01-2006, 08:04 AM Ok cool. Figured Id ask since he is the point guy for all this and I know he and I talked about some stuff. Brian has some real good ideas that we are trying to get in place as soon as possible
Monti007 05-01-2006, 04:02 PM 4300's or 3800 bats?
-Monti-
erock1331 05-01-2006, 04:20 PM Of course nobody is saying this will be the body to have for the clone.
not sure how it will work for cap racing.
But I tried the Charger for the first time 2 weeks ago on a small bullring flat track 126' in stock and it was tight in and loose off compared to a Monte. Put the Monte on and car turned in a lot better and was planted off. I would think for 19T and mod where more overall downforce is needed on loose tracks it should be money.
Dave J 05-01-2006, 06:08 PM 4300's or 3800 bats?
-Monti-
We will be running 3800's at the TriClone until Jan.1st 2007
Barooose 05-05-2006, 01:13 PM Hey DavZ. Who else is coming from Michigan? Bring'em all, the more the merrier. Even that Hansen kid can come. L.O.L.
