guys,
i have thought about the subject that chris from bumps and jumps brought up for a couple of years now. i think now is the time to get it going. our r/c sport/hobby needs a standard set of rules. we need a group of tracks to get together and run under the sanctioned bodies set of rules. and more importantly the tracks need to follow them.

i believe and maybe i'm wrong, that we need to set a set of rules and follow them for 12 months. this changing the batteries every other month is killing our sport. the motors aren't much better. i know alot of guys look down on roar but if we all looked at the big picture i think a standard set of rules is what will make our sport grow.

i also believe we need to have a national champion. have a formula were a drivers home track points will be the first part of the points system. say each track champion would get 1000 bonus points.the guy that finishes 20th in home track points would get maybe 950 points.

then each region would have a mini series of 4 or 5 races with bonus points added at the end of the series.

then 2 national races would be the finals points for the national champion. these race would be straight races with say 200 points to win decreasing in 2 points per spot.so the formula for national champion would be

1-home track bonus points, every track that is in the ass. will have a track champion. so there may be 20 guys that get 1000 bonus points.

2-regional series bonus points, each region will have again have a champion that will recieve 1000 bonus points. there will be maybe 4 regions .

3-then there would be 2 national races that would each giving the winner 200 points with each spot decreasing 2 points.

any track intrested in trying to get something going please e mail me. i'd like to get a meeting set up to see if we can get our sport to the level of professionalism that will help our sport grow.

The guy that owns dirtoval.com has it for sale. Custom Works, Klein and some other are said to be putting something new together. That's hear say but it comes from one of the manufactures.
