This car came on a Vibrator chassis, which was before Thunderjets... I'm thinking 1960-62, but I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm a little off... Or, possibly, a Playcraft Mercedes. Aurora bought their original HO slotcar design from Playcraft, and this could be one of their bodies, but I don't know how to tell the difference... --rick slotmichl 03-11-2006, 01:20 PM Rick, to tell the difference between Playcraft and Aurora is simple: Take a lok at the diameter of the posts. The Playcraft were very thin, while the Aurora is quite thicker. There is something with the material also, the Playcrafts look a bit translucent, or just different in the color somehow, but thats harder to tell (at least for me) than the posts...
