i recently ran a check with Norton AntiVirus and it found two viruses, download.trojan and downloader.trojan. Norton was unable to remove them from my computer, any tips on how to remove them from my computer.
I already scaned my computer with NAV in safe mode and it found no virus?
please help

Google is your friend

The trojans come into the catagory of Malware/Spyware/Adware. The best fix for those are two applications: Ad-Aware and Spybot: Search and Destroy. Download, install and scan using these applications and delete any problems that they find. They are payloaders, the more insidious problems come packaged within their code.

thanks for the info, i ran spybot, and it didn't return any thing but tracking cookies.
hankster i went on the symantec site and checked my registry for downloader.trojan and found two results but not inder the keys that they told me to look in, should i leave them alone? i ran a search for downloader.trojan on my hard drive, to see if i deleted them, i also saw some other things that i had searched for recently in the registry could that be there just because i searched it on my hd. by the way i didn't get any results from the search on my hd for download.trojan or downloader.trojan. does that mean that they are gone? because in NAV it didn't return any results when i searched again.

Most likely they are if norton caught them. Keep spybot and ad-aware handy just in case.

Norton found the virus, but when you go back to the reports from the scan it says access denied/repair failed. so does that mean that it's still on my system?

Did you try running Norton in Safe mode?

yes, it didn't find anything

Then just try running it again in normal mode and if it isn't detected I would say it is gone.
