Since roar rasied the weight limit to 41 oz .What weight limit is going to be used at sroc? Just brushless for me this weekend. And alot of tuneing up on my open mod skills .

I'd say after the race in Omaha it would be a good idea to match what ROAR is running. The flyer for the Omaha race says 40oz so lets keep it at that for now.

I think we should not go above 40 oz . Even after omaha .

Well lets look at this way.

40oz = 2lb 8oz
41oz = 2lb 9oz

In 19t and brushless most of us are above that weight already. the only class that it will change will be stock(for some of use). It's something we need to look at. If we don't go to that weight and most every one in the area does then we will be behind on how the car will respond to the extra weight. Let's take some time this weekend and talk about it.

why do we follow roar rules, we use arcoar rules for 19t. no of us are roar members for the most part. lets follow one sanction body, and not one that can,t muster more cars than a regional race or single class event!

Glad to see everyone that came out last night. The track is getting faster each week on the new carpet. See everyone next week. I just wish I could have ran what I ran in the third heat in the Main. Two hole seconds faster then the track record in brushless.

I think you should weigh cars with the driver.:thumbsup:

Steve bring a spare car with you and I will run I am in between touring cars at this time. Plenty of oval stuff but limited on the road stuff at this time .

Glad to see some of our Columbia Thunder guys have made it down there... I knew they would have a good time -- you guys are always great to race with...

My health issues are getting better, and the guys are talking of helping with transportation (I just can't make big "road trips" yet on my own)... I had new batteries and tires ready for the regionals and had to miss the whole show. I'm trying a little local indoor offroad (practice nights only so far -- may try racing in a week and a half)... If it looks like I can "hang" for a night at the track, I may be bumming a ride down to SROC... My 4-cell Stock and 19t cars think I've forgotten them.

Anyone running RC4less tires got a "setup" to share for the oval? If not, what are you running -- I'll "translate" to what I have... I know I saw the racing line posted somewhere, but I know you've done some changing -- what is it now?

4-cell Stock looks healthy... I didn't see 19t -- I guess I could run with the Brushless? What is 18 T ?????

They run them stock out of the box the ready to run version with McAllister dirt late model bodies. I don't own one but let me tell you have have a blast watching them run.

The run line is 130' on the track.

I'm going to try to make it out this week.... Anyone up for legends?? :)

Tom frahm -- 18t's Mcallister body mini late model part # 214 all you need are tc3 body post to put it on. We run BSR foam tires the stock motor 370 and 1100 batterys ONLY associated makes foam tires but we like the bsr tires. This clase is a lot of fun tom hope to see you soon. :wave:

We were hoping Tom would be jumping in my van tomorrow for the racing, but I haven't heard from him so I suppose he can't make it. I'll be there tomorrow though!

There are a couple guys running stock. Most of us are running Brushless. Yes the 18t's are still running.

Oh Leon, I didn't leave anyone on the straights! Or was that me? I can definitely say I really like the CO27, but it needs some tuning, feels a little lazy out of the corners for my liking, but I think I need to gear it up some more into it's powerband.

As for oval, what's the rules on it? My brushless should be here tomorrow, but I'm sure you won't let me run the 4-star, so what do I need to buy? Novak 4300 motor?

Also, if you need a computer with sound setup and ready to go, let me know before Friday so I can bring one along...free of charge. I have too many!

i will be leon, got a new one on the way. I like the sedans, but i am a pan car guy, xray is the only way to fly. The sedans are just not my bag, i like t plates live axles etc. etc. I know how to tune them, been doing it since i was 10, MAN i say that, i am getting really old!!!!!!!! I should have my new 1/12 car ready by this weekend. And on the horsepower issue, you haven't seen horsepower yet!!!!!!! My sedan had a wore out motor in it, and you know how hard it goes down the straits!!!!! Gotta love promatch, they send me some wicked rip!!!!!Holler if you need some ponies this weekend, i can hook you up, if there is one thing us oval guys know its the RIP!!!!!!!!!see ya this weekend.jeff - the Xray is tempting, i have to hold off for now due to the money i have spent in tires, batts, motors for the Pro-4 i own now.

due to mitch and steve in TC, i realised QUICKLY in the main, you can't run1yr+ old stock motors and batteries. mitch and fitz had a new CO27 and steve got a loaner motor for TC from kevin, i was not enjoying the carpet dust i was tasting on the straights. nathan was leaving me also running a newer/fresher M-stk than mine. i got 2nd by luck only

in 12th i am having the same issue, but for that i just really need a stk motor. kevin made me look like i was sitting still when we went down the straight at SROC this past Sat. to top that, worse time to happen...at your R66 track in the main my motor fell on it's face, although i finished 3rd those were the worse lap times i had all day. after the 2nd minute other than the first major left i was full punch the remaining 6 minutes. matt offered me a motor to drive, should have taken that offer.

still would like to see you running with us in 12th though at either track

As far as brushless any speedo can be used but you must use the Novak 4300 motor.

If you want to bring a computer to free up some space we will take it.

Leon...yeah my car might go fast in the straights with the Co27 motor..but it oversteers in the corners...I was ice skating out there. But i did pick up some Pinks for the rear, that should go well with the Purple/Orange fronts....For all the other TC guys out there, I'm still learning and one day I'll tame it and run clean lines.

Ohh great news, I did close on my house today!!! So I finally have a Garage/Work Space that I can use for my many rc cars. And since that hurdle is over, I should be able to get my RC18T, and maybe a used 12th Scale just after the bank clears up the $14,598.43 OVERDRAFT on my savings account.

Side note, http://groups.yahoo.com/group/s_roc/, I guess not many people checked out the site, it is there for everyone to post PICTURES, Add your cars to the MEMBER DATABASE, share setup sheets, and look at previous race footage.
