Hey, Now we actually have a state in our name too. This is the place for all the stuff you wanna talk about that may not involve the local hobby shops or tracks directly.

Hey guys and gals. I just looked at RC4LESS.com and they have some real good motor deals now. Co27 stocks, Komodo dragon 19t's and more, Even some real good prices on three motor deals for $50. Yikes! We all know how good the RC4LESS foam tires are so maybe they deserve a look for motors too.

Just a note, The new hobby shop in Middleburg has AMB personal transponders in stock. They are not cheap but you can't order one and pay shipping any cheaper either. He's an 1/8th scale offfroad and monster truck enthusiast and he has an offroad track in the building stages that can be run on.

I know some of you have asked about personals and here they are.

See Jeremy Kent for all your oval needs. He needs the money for pet food.

Oh yeah, Don't forget to support your local hobby shop. Antenna tubes in all your favorite colors on special. :p

Mike, And others. Don't forget to try Hurricane racing(Jeremy Kent) for all your oval parts needs. He can get it or has it on the way already.

Mike. Out of respect for the owners of Hobby World we usually do not discuss gettting parts elsewhere on the HW thread. But all's fair here on the Jax racers thread. Welcome to Jax.

Thanks David, no disrespect intended to HW I didn't realize this thread was here. I still would prefer to get stuff from them but I understand the retail game, and some shop owners would prefer to restock when the sell their existing inventory. HW has quite a bit of stuff but just not much oval equipment.

What cars are most the guys running out there?

Hmm? There is alot of different chassis being run. Custom Works is big right now. Several guys are running the new Hyperdrive car. I and a few others run the Maverick chassis. Then theres those that run the old faithful 10L4 that still gets around the track quite well. Hobby Worlds track is all about the car setup no matter which chassis is run. You have to get the car free without being loose to go fast. One good thing with the guys(and a few gals) that race there is they'll let you see exactly what they're running.

I'm taking a little break right now to take care of some other stuff but I'll be back out soon. Dont be afraid to ask anyone out there about car setup. Some of the guys get cranky if they're not having a good night but all in all it's a good group of racers.

If I were you I'd make sure to run only a Maverick chassis(05.5 H.E. solid)with TQ cells and a PRP(Pedano racing products)wing and mount, RC4LESS tires(three pinks and a purple and you can't go wrong) and I'd also get my motors, springs and brushes from Hurricane racing(Jeremy Kent) Battries too. A paint by Focker body would top that off nicely. Hey that sounds like my stuff:eek:

Like a dummy I had PM's turned off in my profile so I wasn't getting them. It's on now. :freak:

I couldn't agree more with Butts(tm). I too pilot an 05.5 OPC Maverick. The support is excellant from Jake, the drivers and the website. Most of the Florida oval racer have different chassis but the most common items we all use are RC4Less tires, protoform bodies (dodge or m/c), Tom's wings and mounts (PRP) and you can get that all from Jeremy, an oval racer.

I too try to support my lhs for the parts and I mostly find it at the OP location.

That web site isnt that hacked up! It just needs some TLC and some time. The site looks great, just need to add to it. Also, I just wanted to post something so I could say "HI!" to all my racing buddies out there! hope you all know who you are.

I'm thinking about going to strickland and I'll run stock or brushless. Hmm I wonder if we can run the brushless stock motor
