Yeah how about a stiffer solid chassis>> ith the battery slots moves back about 1/8-1/4" AND/OR a 6 cell slider plate for the slider car..

Some of the team guys have bounced the idea of a .105 solid chassis as well.

what I was thinking was just an updated version. have spot for a personal Transponder with screw holes. fill in the last battery slot. since that is where most like to mount there speedo and with the new crossbrace support if you run that then you cant' put a pack there anyways.

A one piece top plate.

a 1/12th scale version

Sorry guys to be a bother. But would you be so kind to give me a diagram view of offset t-plate, centered pod. With the way i have it now, 14.5 on the left rear. I just beleive that is not right, too much left rear. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Bobby

I don't have a diagram but I'll give you a description. Viewed from above with the front of the car facing away from you, the T-plate would be mounted to the holes closest the the left side of the chassis, the side shock tower would also be mounted to the left. The pod, when centered would appear to be offset to the right in relation to the offset T-plate. I hope this helps, if it would be more helpful I could send you some pics, just email me and I'll send them.

Any set-up tips for an Aggressor that will be used (raced?) on concrete banked ovals of 250 feet or more. Any opinions on what would work better a slider or solid chassis?
As for suggestions for an updated Aggressor, how about a thicker shock tower?
I would also like a 1/12 scale Aggressor

Arnie Fie

Three: Where are you running concrete? My main assumption would be slider all the way for any banked track and esp caps. Being able to lead the left front will help keep the car from sliding the rear end out thru the center and make it drive off the corner. Give you an idea, I run .050" lead in the LF on banked carpet.

Arnie: I will mainly be running at Little Talladega in Tennessee, and will also race several times at Small Cars Unlimited in Mississippi. I have not been on the concrete for several years, thats why I'm asking for tips.

Doesn't using rear steer and having the left front lead the right counteract each other?
I have used this on my Aggressor and the car works great, but it seems to me that they would cancel each other out. I mean rear steer makes the car turn left and having the wheelbase longer on the left should make the car turn right.
What am I missing (besides my mind)?

Well, ran my CW Slider for the first time on asphalt (carpet/snowbirds is over) @ Strickland R/C Park here in Daytona Beach. I turned the fastest laps I've ever run there in 4 cell 19T and the car was super consistent from start to finish .......needless to say I'm very pleased. ...... everyone who race @ strickland last night was on their game .......... was the fastest group of 19T that I can remember there ....... Dave Pulifaco had a great solid CW car, so did Steven Pedano but no luck, the bad luck demons got me in the main too as they did Dave P......went from 2nd to 5th with 45 seconds to go, body tucked up on the left rear creates drag.........lol....... but before my bad luck the car was a rocket.:D

Cdog you got that right the only changes i made from my normal set up there was I dropped the rf arm down to the bottom hole it really helped the car get in the corner.

Hey guys, Here are the basics of my Sandhills set-up for those of you interested in coming to the ROAR Nats at Sandhills Raceway in NC the last weekend (Mar 23-24) of this month. Nothing terribly trick, but has been pretty good every time out. Ought to be a really good 19turn car as well.

From memory:
-Slider/Long wheelbase: LF forward .050" RF 2nd hole out
-Old school BoLink Ford Taurus, I think Murdock sells these now. MD Dodge Protoform is just a little too aggressive on the nose for this track.
-Big Buds Wing mounted on rear window and low.
-CW on-center soft t-bar, offset pod.
-Front springs .022" Assoc, Gold Right Shock, Blue Left Shock
-Center Shock: Bring the house, means more than tweak it seems.
-Weights RF6.3 LF9.8 RR7.0 LR13.6 not absolute but close, see above.
-Tires Jaco Black RF, Grey LF, White Rears.

Thanks guys i must be old i called a intimidator 10. I had one 10 years ago. Now they call it the intimidator gbx. That car is sweet, better shocks and adjustable toe in and the option for mid engine mounting. Looks like its going to be a fun summer. Kipps also buys old rc10 parts, ive still got tons of that stuff on the wall.. Thanks again Jenz.

DK47: Your mind games are working...but who is going to wipe my tires if Helms is in AZ? You should see the Dirt Oval track in Cherryville (guessing 30 min past Fox Mountain) it is AWESOME! I did get your e-mail, been wheeling around a mom with two brand new knee replacements since Friday up in Philadelphia, but I'll be back in NC sometime tomorrow. I have not forgot about coming to run with you all, never did get out last year, just plain busy. E-mail me a schedule of what is going on so I can atleast try and aim for it.

Beach & Mr Fastman: You should see these two tracks, Ashville and Fox Mountain, you'd cry yourself to sleep like I do at night that they run caps there. I know you like your caps though Beach. Anyhow Ashville is like a banked Downingtown and Fox Mountain has a putting green for an infield, both atleast as nice as the Mill.
