I finally have all the electric working so now the starter works fine and it will turn the engine but the engine won't start. I looked at the spark plug and it was good. And yes I do have gas and oil in it. Anyone have anything I could try? O yeah I did use starter spray on it to try and help it start but it didn't seem to work any.

To be sure of kill switches...etc. , pull the kill wire, did you just look at the plug ( which wouldn't tell you much ) or look at it for spark? Did the plug happen to get wet? If it did, it'll be gas fouled, then just let it dry then try.

When I posted this I had just looked at the spark plug but after I posted it I tested it and it didn't work so I'm going to get a new one today.

This by any chance a champion? Dump it and use something else, ngk, autolite, etc.

Well, lets see, they break easy..... sometimes the ceramic goes shooting off as well, they seem to loose they're gap easy ( One season, started out gapping it .30, next it was off by a little, maybe .10 ) and they like to foul easy.... corrode/rust easy, and come badly gapped most of the time when you buy one, though I do have to say, the original plugs you get with the engine seem to be a little better..... but I've bought new ones and some didn't even spark, gapped and everything......

spark plugs usually don't go out it is usually your ignition coil (CDI) or your breaker points if you have them or both. ~Kyle

Actually spark plugs do go out easier, its more rare for a ignition coil, but they do go as well.

Ya I suppose they do lose there spark once in awhile but it's pretty hard to make them do so. ~Kyle

I forgot to add that if your breaker points are going to ground that would also stop your engine from starting. ~Kyle

Actually I take that back a spark plug does not easily go out. ~Kyle

So they go out easier then a magnetron ignition coil? IT is more common for a plug to foul, then the coil to go bad.
