We have 2 streetforce GP2. One stays put when the nitro engine is running. The other takes off regardless of carberator settings. I suspect the gears are not engaging properly but I dont really know. I am familiar with RC as I have flown RC planes for over twenty years. however I am a total rookie to the nitro cars. We have the engines broken in and other than the one car not remaining still until the throttle is engaged, they have been a blast for me and my two sons. Can anyone troubleshoot what is wrong with the car?
I have spoke with Duratrax but didnt get much advice, unfortunately.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!! thanks in advance

If the engine is idling at the proper RPM then I would suspect a problem with the clutch.

I too suspect something along those lines. Duratrax basically doesnt know the answer either. They want me to send in the car to them. I guess I have few options but to do just that. Thanks for your reply!!!

Yep, it was the clutch. I have a spring centrifugal style. Once I took the engine out and released the clutch bell the answer became clear. The spring was broken so the shoes were engaging the clutch bell immediatley causing the car movement.
Thanks so much for your input and trouble shooting prowess!
