So how did a Ford Mustang guy end up with a collection of '68 Firebirds?

Last summer I bid on 9 JL chassis only from Slotsnstuff (no longer on ebay). I wanted some chassis to put under my pull back cars. I got them for $2.5 per chassis and $0.72 per chassis shipping. I thought that was quite the bargain.

I was pleasantly surprised to say the least when I opened the box and found that every chassis came in a JL '68 Firebird cube with the body!!! Never even got a chance to leave him a thank you feedback as that must have been one of the last cases of slots he shipped before pulling his epay id.

I set one aside untouched and painted the rest.

Now I need 9 new JL chassis

Nice collection -- good to see you actually received them.

Put some #'s on them and you have IROC Firebirds...

Now your talking, just don't have "the big one" like they did at Daytona! Go Truex!

Hey, that's cool... ever since JL came out with that Firebird, I've wanted to strip a few down and repaint them in original Aurora colors, but I haven't done it yet...

Bandit- That was a great deal on the JL chassis. You have to pay more than that just for the magnets. I hate that when you buy stuff on eBay for the chassis and end up fixing the cars and never have the extra chassis that you wanted in the first place.

Hey BB-

Quite the flock you've gathered there!

The last time I seen this many birds in one pic, I was trying to take a photo of a statue in Trafalgar square!

A wonderful collection!

Cheers..
