View Full Version : Ideas for internet store wiscentral52 03-04-2006, 12:13 PM I am opening a internet hobby store soon. I would like to have the most needed parts and the most popular kits. Could you guys give me some ideas on what you would like stocked in a store? Thanks for all info wiscentral52 03-05-2006, 12:21 PM Come on guys , I can't have a good selection if no one gives me input. Semore 03-05-2006, 12:48 PM I race 1/10 scale off road I would thiink Hop ups would be a big seller. IMO southsiderc13 03-05-2006, 09:15 PM heres a tip. your posting in a place mostly used by racers. most racers support a local hobby store, at some time ya do have to use the internet because of distributor backorders. or its just so much cheaper. if you want to even stand a chance, you will need to to carry ALL stock parts, and ALL after market hop-ups. or there is no way you will make it!! your gonna need to cater to the backyard bashers. so a palet or two of all popular rtrs; seems like if you were going into this, especially considering the money involved, you would already have a good idea of what is gonna move!!and what is work! you should conasider nitro and electric!! whats selling where ya live, start there wiscentral52 03-05-2006, 09:52 PM Big into oval here. And the reason that I am doing this is because most of the stores around here don't care to stock parts that we need. They only stock parts that work for their cars or trucks. Do you know how many times that I have walked into a hobby store and asked for a part and all they could tell me was that they can order it, well so can I and get it faster and cheaper. And by the way I do support our local rc store, he is called Lefthander rc, It's nice having someone that big in your back yard. I have bean doing auto body work for 20 yrs now, time to move on to something that I love, and that is the hobby world, rc, model railroading. Thanks for the input. southsiderc13 03-05-2006, 11:23 PM i hear ya,, my local has team associated electric parts for me and thats it, if that, i have to drive hour hour and half. good luck with your venture! wiscentral52 03-05-2006, 11:55 PM Thanks for the info and I will try to do whatever it takes to help out the rc community!!!! vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2012, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
