Greetings All,

As the changes start for K&N a new question must be asked; What weekday would racers prefer K&N to be open? Presently the operational hours are:

Wednesdays open at 6pm
Fridays open at 5pm
Saturdays open at 10am
Sundays open at 9am

**FRIDAY-SUNDAY WONT CHANGE ...this question is only regarding Mondays verses Wednesdays

The question is should we change Wednesdays to Mondays? What weekday would you prefer to see K&N open?

And the track will be open normal hours/days while we work on the changes...just may need to close certain pit sections (Only) so there will be no problems everyone!

I quoted the wrong post,this is the right one,my poll is still Thursdays if you add a new night. TCM

wed.,thurs.,fri.,Sat.,and Sun with monday and tuesday to yourself.and Wed-Fri would be around 6-10 which is only 4 hrs a night.

We just went up tonight....from 530ish to 830 not ONE person stopped in except Rusty the squirrel....... We had a good time but frankly he isnt as fast as the racers, he can tear up the place just as quick...but he didnt make it around the track......

So Im wondering .....the no shows tonight...is that the voice of the racers...saying they dont care whether or not the track is open on Wednesdays????????????

Actions speak louder than words.... But I still love everyone just the same...... it was actually a nice quiet night....well...with Rusty at least, Chad was outta control as usual. I cant get him to keep his clothes on.

But hey...it scared Rusty outta there...so we solved that problem!

yeah well chad running the track naked chased him out (LOL).... He's all gone... after causing a few hundred in damages...LOL

Forewarning: THE HOBBY SHOP IS A MESS! I think thats getting redone Friday (first thing as part of the changes) as Chad started it tonight then stopped and wants to re-do it again, so we left it a mess, pending getting the supplies to finish (paint etc).....

On a positive note - HE ORDERED YOUR MOTOR TODAY!!!!! And got a few more for anyone interested!!!! They should be in next week (early)

He also put alot of stuff in that shop (not that anyone will be able to tell though until we get it resolved ....) lol :wave:

keep it up with the hobbyshop racers always need stuff have it they buy it sell it replace it and EVERYONE is HAPPY!! :tongue:

Friday nights I would think. Weekday racing, for most is directly related to living close enough to the track in question to get there on time through rush hour traffic etc. K/N has had some success in the past with friday nights.

We are open on Fridays do you think we shoule eliminate the other weekday? Only be open Friday - Sunday....?


We would love to be open everyday but nights like last night are very discouraging. I realize we all have work, families, etc but alot of people are critical and tear us apart if we are late, or close for a night, then without warning NOT one person shows. I just dont know how to help make it all work for everyone. Just like many of you Chad and I have to travel OVER 30 minutes to get to the track and yes we all know gas prices are CRAZY.... not to mention the heat bill was $1000 per month..so if we can avoid opening up, turning on all the heat, lights, wasting time, etc - it would be nice. Im not saying we dont want to be there, just that we want it to be a convenient night for everyone (not just us).

I only hope that we can all communicate better and get K&N back to the packed days....

Oh and for the record, I know Chad had mentioned he prefered to be open consecutive days (like Friday - Monday or Thursday - Sunday) but he doesnt want to make that kind of change without getting the feed back from y'all and hearing that you all will actually show on those days......

I think opening during the week should be more a question of the hobby shop versus the track. I think this is being looked at the wrong way. Selling product through the hobby shop is where you'll make a profit, and be able to keep the doors open. I've said this before, and I'll say it again, racers will not keep the doors open and the bills paid, you must sell product. It needs to be a store that happens to have a track. Talk to any hobby shop owner from Ct. to Pa., 75% of what they sell does not return to the track to be raced, it's run in back yards and on side streets. Focus should be aimed toward getting that going for the hobby shop at K&N. I'm sure there are plenty of folks that spend money on their kids for r/c related items in the Stafford Springs area, problem is, they are not buying from you. Need to make them aware, and maybe have available some back yard bashing type kits. I could keep going, but I think you get my drift. Bill B

I agree with you...the shop is under construction LOL. There is so much going on in there right now between products be restocked, the whole thing is being re-done you name it.... I will make sure Chad reads this though. I appreciate you taking the time to let your feelings be known (and I agree very much).....

Okay people Im slow... are you saying NO monday or Wedneday? Only Friday - Sunday?

Going with just a weekend thing would be bad in my opinion. You need a day or two during the week. I say thurs, fri, sat, sun, mon. have thurs night and sun races, with your every now and then fri race night. mon and sat as practice days or room for more classes.

I vote for Wednesdays.
Its been over a year since I have been able to go racing but im going to try to get back into it. This work thing is killing my racing habit.
