Three 03-10-2006, 08:00 PM Me too! Hope to make it there at least once before the race. Is the set-up similiar to Little Talladega?
jflack 03-10-2006, 09:02 PM No, closer to BMS than Dega.......

The key is getting the car up off the ground here. The car slams down into turn 1 so hard the left side of the car will bottom out on the front. A BMS setup is fairly close chassis setup with the tires in the above setup. My guess is with 3800s 19 turn will turn 5.9s slow 40 lap run.
jflack 03-11-2006, 08:22 PM Last time over was in 6 cell stock. I ran 6.1s up front and 6.3s out the back. Was on a 38 4:00 pace just could dodge everyone. 19 turn is about a 1/2 to 3/4 lap faster. 40 laps not out of reach.........
GILYHANTREE 03-11-2006, 08:50 PM i am going to make the trip but not the dampner sticks but i got the general setup down i believe
jflack 03-12-2006, 10:31 AM Oval:
6 cell stock
4 cell 19 turn
I ran 4 cell stock in the second heat in the Gobbler Classic last year. You can see the results check 10/29/05....I guessed at the gear and was over geared a few.....still run a 6.9 up front....but, the car was so easy to drive, it was unreal. I am trying to get them to run 4 cell stock in place of 6 cell stock.
jflack 03-12-2006, 10:33 AM I will be running 4 cell 19 turn.
Three 03-12-2006, 02:12 PM What are the classes for the April 29th race?
jflack 03-12-2006, 04:27 PM I have not seen a flyer yet, but normally 6 cell stock and 4 cell 19 turn on the oval. The road course will be run the same day. 1/12th stock, sedan stock and 19 turn.
totalrc 03-13-2006, 02:34 PM Jimmy, thanks for the setup information. I dont run dampner tubes, but i have a good idea what to do for the side shocks. I am looking forward to it. See ya there.
Lee
jflack 03-16-2006, 01:37 AM Here is the Flyer for the April Races.
jflack 03-19-2006, 07:06 PM Looks like standard 4 cell 19 turn rules. First time in a few years, they have been running the fixed timing 19 turn motors. It should be fun!

I would say up I-55 north or west Jackson at the Clinton Exit, both are about 15 mins from the track. There is a Hotel about 5 mins from the track on I-55 south but I wouldn't let my dog stay there.
I usually stay at the Clinton exit Hotels.
totalrc 03-23-2006, 09:01 AM Jimmy, thanks for all of the hotel information. I booked a room at the fairfield Inn up by the airport. I am looking forward to getting some track time on friday.

jflack 04-03-2006, 10:17 PM It should be a fun race.

Should be a fun race, Ed runs a good show. I hope everyone can make the race. Flyer is on post #22.......Oval is 6 cell stock and 4 cell 19 turn......on-road is 1/12th 19turn, stock and mod sedan. (19 turn for on-road is the fix timing motors per the Roar rules C2 ect.)
willyplankhead 04-20-2006, 07:00 PM might try and make it jimmy might need your help been 13 years since i have been there

GILYHANTREE 04-20-2006, 11:05 PM we might need to take my unit belive it will be better on gas with the same if not more roommore room i don't think that is possible your unit will fit inside mine but i promissed jimmy i would come and i am a man of my word so jackson bound the raptors will be jimmy send me a raptor setup i know you know what she needs down their

jflack 04-22-2006, 10:37 AM I've updated the basic setup some. That setup has ran fast 38 laps in 6 cell stock. I plan on starting with .024 springs on the front of my car. I'll be there sometime Friday morning, should be before noon. Tires BSR 4 Blues work, maybe a green Left Rear. Rs on LF, RF and RR. S on LR a R if you can Find one.
willyplankhead 04-22-2006, 12:30 PM Na Think I Will Pass If They Want To Inforce Roar Rules They Need To Keep Up With The Roar Classes Instead Of Living In The Past
jflack 04-22-2006, 12:53 PM They are a true Roar track. 6 cell racing is still in the rule book. They don't race much oval weekly, so most run TC cars so when they run oval 6 cell is cheaper. 4 cell 19 turn full roar rules is going to be run.....sorry to miss you,
willyplankhead 04-22-2006, 01:02 PM like i said they dont offer my class will not bother to attend because that effects my son to and there aint no way i am gona turn him loose in 19 turn i could but wont and yall would probly not speak to me for awhile if i did
jflack 04-22-2006, 01:09 PM yea, I have been trying to get them to run 4 cell stock for years. They think its to slow!
jflack 04-22-2006, 01:11 PM I guess the first time i'll be able to get up to Rush and Son will be mid June. Maybe I'll see you then.
willyplankhead 04-22-2006, 01:14 PM They are a true Roar track. 6 cell racing is still in the rule book. They don't race much oval weekly, so most run TC cars so when they run oval 6 cell is cheaper. 4 cell 19 turn full roar rules is going to be run.....sorry to miss you,
understand that point but when they have a big event they need to include that class as well for the folks that run 4-cell stock thats all i am saying to me thats just catering to the locals and not every racer that would come to the event
totalrc 04-22-2006, 04:18 PM Only 1 week. Jimmy I will see Friday morning. I plan on leaving New Orleans around 8 am.
Lee
GILYHANTREE 04-22-2006, 09:58 PM like i said they dont offer my class will not bother to attend because that effects my son to and there aint no way i am gona turn him loose in 19 turn i could but wont and yall would probly not speak to me for awhile if i didoh willy i will get you and your boy going in 19 turn yall will have fun if you go with me just beacause of all the crazy stuff i might say have fun willy and start working on your car you can't lie to jimmy you know you are going to make the trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GILYHANTREE 04-24-2006, 12:00 AM jimmy have you tryed body mounted wing their and what where the results if you did
jflack 04-24-2006, 05:04 PM I have used a body wing before with good results. I think with the wing on the body loads the chassis too much in turn one. It kind of slams the car down into the corner, but it will work. I have my BMS Nats car ready to try, just in case thats what works. I used a large buds wing even with roof on the pod last time. That body Will was running at the Carpet Nats would be a good body for SCU.
GILYHANTREE 04-24-2006, 08:55 PM guess i will give the wintunnel ford with body mount wing a whirl around that track then
