Hi, have posted in various threads that I was looking for some future floor wax to try using it to clear-caot a re-painted car...
well i can stop bugging u guys now, I finally found some at Kmart..
now that I got it, I forgot all the comments on it!

do you pour some out in a container and just dip the body in? how long? just one time or multiple?

..or can I just mount the body on a holder and pour the wax over it?

Hi Pablodragon

You just have to wipe it onto your casting using a Q-tip or cotton swab/ball..Wipe in one direction, and let dry about 25-30 minutes before attempting application of another coat.
It will provide a nice shiny coat to your repaint, but if you want "depth" you're going to have to spray clear lacquer on it..Future is an acrylic polish but because it's water soluable it's extremely thin & made to be applied to add luster to surfaces.
It's also a very good decal sealer,it helps them shine, and the edges to be less risen thus avoiding "hook & peeling".
Future also shines the rubber/PVC tires, even the plastic ones.

future worked well to put a shine on some darker colored paints I used but it did "yellow" a white painted body I tried it on,don't know if it would have the same effect on white decals

thanx guys!

I also have a little input...I picked up another acryllic clear coat in spray form...Krylon, but it seems to take a long time to dry when I use it...
I did sucsessfully repair a scuffed up roof on a Hot Wheels Classics black chrome 67 Camaro... had been rubbing on the top of the blister so I opened the car. roof top was all scratched up, no amount of rubbing and polishing seemed to help so I masked off the roof at the window lines and sprayed a couple coats of the Krylon on...waited like a whole day or 2 before I decided to touch and and it worked pretty darn good! all the scratches are gone.

Yes Walter, I had the same thing happen on a flat white paint job, and it also seems to react with the glue backing on white decal paper, once dry they tend to yellow within a few weeks. Have'nt noticed it on clear backed paper but it probably would/will.

Pablo...
I figure you shook it up pretty well before spraying it on...So what I'd suggest is...Prior to using it again, run some HOT water in the sink(about 4 inches deep)place the can of Krylon in the water for about 15 minutes...Shake it up again & spray it on...it will mix in the can better at a warmer temperature plus it'll go on smoother and dry quicker.
