View Full Version : Craftsmans Truck Series
Br0nx Racing 02-25-2006, 11:20 AM Hello All,
I'm fan of the Craftsmans Truck series. I want to build a couple of trucks from my friends and myself. I'm finding it hard to find the truck bodies though. Also what would be a good chasis to start out with?
Thanks

Raceman 02-25-2006, 05:25 PM A few years ago 6 cell 1/10 Nastruck was the big class at the Granby QC club. At the time HotBodies and Protoform produced Ford and Chevy bodies. Now I do think only McAllister is producing some.
As for pan chassis you may think of L4 and Hyperdrive; simpler to setup especially for beginners. One other interesting rule was to allow only one stock motor.

We run this class here in NC,McCallister makes the finest truck bodies, and the L4 and Hyperdrive seem to be the choice of chassis.
Trucks are big down here in SC as well,it's a fun class for sure.
Fl Flash 02-26-2006, 10:48 AM http://www.mcallisterracing.com/racing/ Has a nice selection of NASTRUCK bodies built for Oval racing , Ford, Dodge, Chevy and Toyotas availible.

BillH 03-01-2006, 08:45 PM what motors are you all running in the Truck bodies? Do they handle alot different from a stock car body?
bologna 03-01-2006, 10:12 PM the orl is any roar stock motor with full f-brush ( you cant do anything to it)
now i dont have the hard #s im my head but pro stock car was something like 53 4:03 no brush rule in this class
the truck tq was 52 4:04 this is with full face f brush and the back of the truck must be 2 inch.
to see the rules go to www.outlawracingleague.com
to see the results between both classes go to j-lap and horsham rc date of 2/26.06
hope this helps
